It’s now daytime, as Saige leans up against a wall inside Kelsey’s house. “Thank you so much for all that you did.”, says Kelsey’s mom. “Don’t mention it. Well actually, you should mostly thank Saige for his help.”, says Mai.
Saige thinks back to when he faced Gallagar.
“That’s right, squirm as you die, you maggot.”, says Saige in the flashback.
Saige then snaps back to reality, and looks down to see Kelsey’s mom holding his hand. “Thank you so much for liberating our town of those bandits.”, says Kelsey’s mom. “Yeah, don’t mention it. Was no trouble.”, responds Saige. “Now that you’ve handled the bandits, we should make a celebration for you.”, says Kelsey’s mom. “No, sorry, but we gotta get going.”, states Mai. “Oh, not one celebration?”, asks Kelsey’s mom. “Sorry, but I come from a settlement kinda distant and we should make it back soon or the people of that settlement would worry about us.”, states Mai in a straightforward response. “Understood.”, says Kelsey’s mom, with abit of disappointment. “Can I come with!?”, says Kelsey.
“Kelsey.”, chimes in Kelsey’s mom. “It’ll be a harrowing venture we’ll have to go through. So it’ll be dangerous.”, states Mai. “But I can handle myself. You saw back in the cave.”, Kelsey. “Like how you got knocked out?”, says Saige, in a taunting position. “You got knocked out too. But no not that, I can dodge well. That training came from fighting bandits for months.”, says Kelsey.

Mai and Saige look at eachother, then back to Kelsey. “Well you said to me you’d like more people for your cause.”, says Saige to Mai. “Well it’s not about that, it’s up to Kelsey’s mother.”, Mai says. “I would like her to stay, but if, Kelsey, you really want to go, I can’t stop you.”, says Kelsey’s mom. “Well that about settles it?”, says Saige, in a slight taunting manor toward Mai. Mai sighs and pinches forehead, right before finally saying, “Alright, fine, you can come.”.
In due time later, the three stand at the edge of Airy Town with backpacks on, as Mai has her old attire on, Kelsey’s wearing her armour and cape and Saige still has on the white t-shirt, red shorts and black shoes. As they stand there, the towns people stand nearby to see them off. The three wave goodbye as they go.
“Mmm, adventure! I can’t believe it!”, exclaims Kelsey. “Just so you know, I’m teaching you how to fire a gun better.”, says Mai. “Really? Sweet!”, says Kelsey, excited for the future. “Hey Saige!”, Mai says.
Saige seems to have been daydreaming off and snaps back to reality. “You okay there?” asks Mai. Saige has a brief pause before talking. He then puts on a sudden happy demeanor, “Yeah, never better. I mean I just defeated a demon general, right?”, “Ex-demon general.”, Mai says in correction. Is that really necessary?, “asks Saige”, “What?”, asks Mai. “To correct me. He still was a demon general. Making it sound like he wasn’t!”, exclaims Saige. “He was, I’m just saying”. Mai smiles as she looks toward the sunny sky. And the three continue on their way.
