“Well why don’t you test that strength against me! The ex-demon general Gallagar!”, the giant demon says in a booming voice. “Oh no.”, Mai responds. “Ex-demon general?”, asks Saige. “Now we’re screwed.”, says Mai. “Why you say that?”, asks Saige. “Do you not know the strength of Demon Generals? It’s said they can level entire towns.”, states Mai. “That strong, huh?”, questions Saige, as he looks up at Gallagar with a determined look on his face. “Oh yes. Now you won’t escape this cave alive. Everyone stand down! Leave these three to me.” Gallagar tells the lot. Saige swings around his arm in circles to stretch it. “Then bring i-”, right before Saige could finish his sentence, Gallagar swings around a punch as Saige is caught off-guard, and sends Saige flying into the cave wall, leaving a small crator. Saige then falls down from the crator and ends up unconscious.

  Mai just looks over to Saige in surprise. And shouts, “Saige!”, but no response comes from him. “Bwahaha! For a demon, that’s the sorriest excuse of a fight I have ever seen!”, Gallagar taunts. Gallagar now looks at Kelsey and Mai, and stomps the ground, sending them up in the air and down again. Kelsey and Mai then try quickly running away. Mai, while still holding Kelsey’s gun shoots shots at Gallagar, but he then just blocks the shots with his hand. Gallagar then just slowly walks forward, while stomping each time he takes a step. Kelsey and Mai clumsily try to run while being bounced into the air. Mai continues to shoot, but Gallagar keeps easily blocking the shots. “Those puny shots won’t work on me.”, says Gallagar. Kelsey and Mai then hide behind a stalagmite.

  “Listen, Kelsey, we have to retreat, somehow. We’ll take Saige and run.”, says Mai. “The-The-The great Blue Phoenix can’t run from battle.. no matter how big the foe.”, says Kelsey. “Are you shaking?”, asks Mai. “N-No.”, responds Kelsey. Kelsey then swipes her gun back from Mai and runs into battle. She then goes and stands on a slanted rock, using it like a stage to speak. “L-Listen here, ex-demon general, Gallagar! I am the m-mighty Blue Phoenix, and I say your rain of terror ends here!”, Kelsey says as she poses with her legs apart, one hand outward, and the other hand behind her head. “You have ravaged Airy Town long enough and we have come to stop you!” Kelsey exclaims, right before shooting multiple shots at Gallagar that actually hit him, although they don’t do damage.

  “Oh my god, they actually hit him. He must be too big of a target to miss.”, says Mai in surprise of Kelsey’s accuracy this time. Gallagar goes to punch down on Kelsey and Kelsey jumps off the slanted rock and rolls back, as Gallagar breaks the rock. Kelsey now just runs and guns as Gallagar chases her. “She dodged well. I should really help her though, somehow”, Mai says to herself. Mai then runs in behind Gallagar, transforms her bat into a lance and stabs him in the back of the foot with the lance, just above the heel. “Gah!”, Gallagar screams. Gallagar then stomps again, making Mai and Kelsey bounce into the air. Gallagar then back kicks Mai into a cave wall and punches down on Kelsey. “Ow.”, says Mai, holding her torso in pain. “Okay, that didn’t work, we really need to grab Saige and run”, she says to herself. Suddenly, those three bandits from earlier come back, awaken from unconsciousness.

  “Boss.”, the lead bandit says. “Don’t “boss” me. You couldn’t handle yourselves and so I had to do your job for you. These little pesks were little to nothing for me to handle.”, says Gallagar. “What are we going to do with them?”, asks the second bandit. “Well eat them, of course. I mean I will. And let this be a lesson to Airy Town.”, says Gallagar. Gallagar then picks up Mai by the back of the shirt and holds her over his mouth. “No no! Ahhhh!”, yells Mai, as Gallagar swallows her whole.

  Suddenly, like a dart, something flies at Gallagar’s stomach, making him barf up Mai in an instant. It’s Saige. Saige stands covered in barf with Mai under his arm. “S-Saige!”, Mai exclaims. “Don’t you dare! Eating Mai alive like that? I gotta kill you where you stand!”, yells Saige while having an angerful expression. Saige’s horns are now a third of a meter long and have fire on the tips of them. “Don’t make me laugh!”, says Gallagar.

  “That’s our boss for you. You don’t make him scared one bit.”, says the lead bandit. “You couldn’t do anything before. What makes you think...!”, Gallagar swings a fist at Saige and he catches it with one hand. “Huh?”, questions Gallagar”. Saige then twists Gallagar’s arm. “GAH!!”, Gallagar yells. Gallagar holds his arm. “How’d you do that, you little bastard!? I gotta squash you where you stand!”, Gallagar says with a very anger expression, while using his other arm to punch Saige. Saige just slaps the punch away.

  Gallagar goes to grab him, but Saige just jumps up over the grab, lands on his arm, while still holding Mai, jumps up the arm and double boots Gallagar in the head, knocking Gallagar over. Saige then lands infront of Gallagar’s face.

  Saige, now with red eyes, puts his hand in the air and grows a giant fireball in his palm. Saige breathes heavy. “No no wait, please”, says Gallagar. “That’s right, squirm as you die, you maggot.” Saige says, as he mentally seems out of it. “Saige?”, says Mai. Saige then snaps out of it, when he hears Mai’s voice. The fireball then disappears.

  “What.. what.”, says Saige in confusion. “Don’t hurt me! Please, I’m sorry!”, cries Gallagar. “...I don’t even remember what I was doing.”, states Saige. “I swear I’ll leave Airy Town alone!!”, yells Gallagar. “Oh. You promise?”, asks Saige. Gallagar just nods with tears in his eyes. “Good... Then beat it.”, says Saige. Gallagar then comes running out of the cave holding his broken arm and crying as the bandits follow him out in a hurry. There’s just a brief silence now, right before Saige starts talking. “Uh.. Ready to get out of here?”, Saige asks. “Y-Yeah sure. You can put me down now, by the way.”, Mai says, while relieved they won.
