"Have I really been in here for more than a day?" Bryan gawked once he saw the date and time on his watch and walked towards the portal to get out, "When did this zone's size grow so much? Why didn't I notice anything happen until everything was over?"

  Bryan looked around him at the circle of daylight which doubled in width then shook his head and entered the portal once he failed to notice any difference inside the zone other than the patch of shimmering grass.

  Once he returned back to his new room in his private floor inside the Serene-Haven building, Bryan quickly checked the other watch and confirmed that he really did spend about two and half hours away from the real world which transtes to more than a day inside the grassnd.

  *Knock* *Knock*

  "Sir. It's almost time for the next shift to switch with me and Jessica, we really need to see you before it happens to confirm that you're fine." Kyle sounded urgent and a bit worried.

  "Come in," Bryan said while heading towards the bathroom to relieve himself because it's been so long since he took a piss, "Which two are going to be the pair on the next shift of my security detail and which one is going to be my driver?" He asked while spshing away in the urinal.

  "Peter is taking over from David in the next shift while Vincent is going to be riding with you in the same S-Css," Jessica answered while gesturing with her hand for Kyle to take a look the bed which is practically untouched yet their employer who's supposed to be awake didn't answer whenever they knocked on his door or called for him, "Michael would be tailing your car and driving one of the bck Range Rovers and Kelvin is going to be sitting right next to him whenever the convoy is on the move then join Vincent whenever you're on foot."

  Bryan got out from the bathroom and stood at the door wiping his face with a towel after washing his face, "Peter and Michael are my drivers while Vincent and Kelvin are my bodyguards, I take it that you guys took care of the matters I requested from you... or at least the work is in progress on the ones which would take time to complete." Bryan said while leaving the room and heading towards the kitchen.

  Kyle and Jessica followed Bryan and the first opened his mouth to say : "What's left is for us to get familiar with the rest of the staff, I had a quick meeting with our partners and informed them about your wish to improve the security of the building and the collective ideas are a perfect blend between old-school methods plus a wide-variety of innovative and creative technological yers which would make penetrating our defenses unimaginably difficult once the work is completed, your floor and the one below are the only ones beyond visitor's access and the only ones with blind spots when it comes to being monitored by cameras and sensors." Kyle said while watching Bryan open the fridge's first door then the second and didn't hesitate to take a bottle of water then empty it in his mouth in a single motion before taking a second and doing the same to it once again.

  "The person I contacted is a professional in detecting toxins and poison while having deep experience in taking care of people's health which means she's more than eligible for being our personal resident nurse in case her services are needed, she's currently abroad and is expected to arrive an hour or so after midnight so everything reted to her contract should be finalized tomorrow once you return from the hotel. I've also contacted the food catering companies and organized a few schedules for the chef and nutritionist to follow while requesting their raw materials for our food and made sure to keep our requests scattered and mixed between all of these companies, I'm also going to create more schedules once both the chef are done figuring out the preferences of all the drivers and guards plus the dies and yourself when it comes to what types of food and drinks." Jessica said while studying Bryan with her eyes and frowned once she saw him open a few containers then take the sandwiches and start eating without care as if he doesn't have a dinner waiting for him with the dies less than an hour from right now!

  "Good job you two, you can go rest for today and have some fun." Bryan nodded after swallowing then said that before looking towards Jessica and added with a sly smile on his face : "Try not to bully David too much."

  Jessica fluttered her eyelids a few times while smiling then winked : "I'll make sure to make it fun and joyful for the poor guy as much as possible, but shouldn't you worry about yourself? How are you going to be able to enjoy your time with Celest and Linnet when you're already eating a few sandwiches less than an hour away from your dinner!"

  Bryan shrugged then took a couple of ptes which had a healthy big piece of steak and the other had chicken breasts which seem like they're oven baked and sprinkled with seasonings then put them in the microwave to heat them up while saying : "I don't believe you know that piece of information about me just yet but I'm going to enlighten you, your boss eats a lot so... better watch out! Who knows? Someday he might be wandering the corridors of this building in the middle of the night with drool dripping from lips... If a delicious-looking one like you happen to meet him at such a time he might just... Eat you up." Bryan opened the microwave's door and took the two ptes then put them on the counter of this kitchen which on its own was bigger than the size of his room back at Mr. Owen's building!

  At the end of his words he gave Jessica such a smile which hid many meanings behind it and pierced one of the chicken breasts with a fork then put it in his mouth and chewed on it slowly while his eyes glowed brightly as he enjoyed the taste.

  Kyle on the other hand smiled once he noticed Jessica flinch under the gaze of their boss then gestured for her to come with him since it's time for them to change shifts with Vincent and Kelvin, "Bryan really rattled your confidence there, was there really a need for you to react that way?" Kyle asked Jessica once the two of them got in the elevator and used his Key-Card to grant himself access to control the elevator while it's parked in these two floors.

  "Bryan wasn't joking when he said what he said, you're a man... you understand how us women feel when you give us certain looks!" Jessica said while getting out of the elevator which stopped in their floor.

  "Peter and Michael are downstairs in the lobby and are ready to move once Mr. Bryan is ready, do I have your confirmation that he's in a good physical and mental condition?" One of the two men who easily towered over Kyle opened his mouth to say that once he saw Jessica and Kyle leave the elevator.

  "Positive, but you need to hurry up since he's yet to wear his dinner outfit." Kyle nodded and said while heading towards his room which is next to Jessica and oddly enough also David.

  The two tall men shook their heads then got in the elevator and took it back up one floor, but once they reached the kitchen they were surprised by the amount of empty ptes and bottles on the kitchen counter!

  "Sir. I'd recommend you take it easy... Your dinner with dy Celest and Linnet still awaits." Vincent said while reaching to pat Bryan on his shoulder once he saw this young man stuffing his mouth with food while standing near the invisible gss wall and looking outside at the busy streets and the tiny people and cars far below.

  Bryan slurped the rest of the spaghetti then nodded while licking his lips, "You're right Vincent, I should hold back a bit and eat whatever I want in the restaurant." He said then went towards his room and disappeared inside then much to Michael and Vincent's surprise he appeared two less than two minutes ter fully wearing a different suit than the one he wore when he arrived in the building a few hours ago!

  Judging by how sharp and orderly his clothes were, these two bodyguards couldn't believe someone can change their clothes so fast!

  Even his necktie was fixed and his sneakers were tied and tightened perfectly, his cufflinks, the buttons of his shirt, undervest, and the jacket of his suit were buttoned and his hairstyle was different.

  Both of them can smell perfume from their employer yet their sharp ears didn't hear anything being sprayed at all.

  Of course Bryan noticed the surprise on the faces of his bodyguards and smiled inwardly since he actually spent about twenty minutes taking care of himself just outside the sunlight zone and left the grassnd through the portal once he made sure everything was perfect.

  His current look is the result of having Robert take care of his hair while taking the advice of both Kyle and Jessica into consideration, having Mr. Smith take care of choosing the right suit and footwear while taking the advice of both Kyle and Jessica into consideration.

  Not to mention the watch on his wrist and even the funny-looking long socks which Jessica insisted that he wear on his double date and Kyle agreed that the cssy and very expensive watch is a touch of high-quality which makes Bryan seem untouchable and beyond the reach of the masses when combined with the matching look of the suit but the funny-looking socks and the unique sneakers on his feet would make him seem a lot more grounded and humble to the people around him within his close circle which is a good choice to keep his dies and his friends from feeling estranged during the date in any way.

  "Peter... My source of information at the darkest moments," Bryan got inside the S-Css after Vincent hurried a few steps ahead of him and opened the door for him, "Tell me Peter, did any of your contacts had anything to say about what happened to the market-exchange today?" Bryan asked while behind them at Kelvin who jumped in the passenger seat of the bck Range Rover which followed his car and maintained the same distance as if his Mercedes does have a tail in the shape of a Land Rover!

  Peter felt this situation awkward since the finance-reted pond does run deep and he was swept by the storm just like many others just like himself, "N-no sir. I'm afraid my abilities really did prove inconsequential at a fundamental level." Peter said while giving the signal before taking a turn then checked the GPS to confirm the distance and the time he has left to do his job and drive his employer to his dinner before it begins.

  Bryan nodded then took his phone out and unlocked it while asking : "Any idea where the girls are right now Vincent?"

  "Their drivers and guards just switched shifts successfully and informed us that the three dies are about two minutes away from the restaurant as we speak," Vincent said while keeping his eyes on the road ahead and the cars on both sides, "Mr. Shawn is already in the Wraith and the driver should complete his mission a few minutes before we arrive."

  Bryan smiled since everything is moving smoothly and he can enjoy the rest of this day without thinking about anything other than having fun with Shawn and the dies.

  Once they arrived at the restaurant which Linnet specifically choose to be the location of her date with Bryan without expecting for it to attract three more uninvited guests but she had to swallow her grievances and accept the circumstances, the people in the street were amazed by the long row of luxurious and expensive cars in front of this restaurant which rarely receives a visit from a single one every month or so... but now there's two Rolls-Royce cars one being a blue Wraith and the other a bck Phantom plus a yellow Lamborghini Urus and a bck top of the line Mercedes S-Css not to mention the three bck Range Rovers parked ahead and behind the row and the men and women in suits who either followed the people leaving these cars inside the restaurants or stood outside to guards the pce or the cars themselves!

  The staff inside the restaurant weren't expecting to receive such guests when they saw the three beautiful dies enter the restaurant in the beginning while accompanied by four more women in suits, but once Linnet confirmed that she's the client who reserved the whole restaurant during the time of dinner the receptionist had the waiters lead the dies to their table.

  When Shawn arrived the receptionist exchanged looks with the waiters and had them guide him to the dies with a smile on his face but the look within his eyes meant : "This fellow must be the luckiest bastard in the city!"

  But when Bryan arrived with the two tall men Vincent and Kelvin following him this receptionist felt his knees go weak once he received their stern gazes which made him feel like they're looking at the depth of his soul and uncovering his deepest secrets.

  "Kelvin. You can have this side, watch the kitchen door and the bathroom area." Vincent ordered his partner who nodded and gestured for this shady-looking receptionist to move since he's useless from this moment until his employer's time of having dinner in this restaurant is over.

  "Isabelle. You go out and have Peter, Michael and the rest of the drivers keep their eyes open and watch everything, people, cars, and even the buildings with a good angle on this side of the restaurant. Holler in the phone if anything happens, we'll keep the line open between all of us." Vincent said to the guard who was on her first shift of guarding Celest and she nodded then walked outside after looking at her phone to confirm that the app was working.

  "Ayna you go keep an eye on the kitchen staff and the backdoor." One of Linnet's two guards nodded then left after moving sideways between the two shocked waiters who stood there like useless scarecrows in the field listening to this giant throw orders at these people wearing suits while the two young men and the three dies sat on their table.

  "Nikki and Sky, you two stay here and keep your eyes on these two and the other waiters... anything funny at all and I expect you to take them out immediately!" Vincent said before adding while looking at the two women, "Understood?"

  "Yes." Nikki and Sky nodded then split to head towards the walls on the opposite sides of Bryan's table.

  "Good. I'll be guarding the door then." Vincent said while taking his leave after receiving a nod from Bryan who turned to look at Shawn and smiled.

  Shawn was of course beyond amazed by the car he just rode here and the line of cars which he can see parked outside the restaurant if he looked at the window behind this fellow called Bryan.

  The group of drivers standing next to the cars and all these beautiful women and mightily-strong looking men in suits which are the bodyguards of the same people sitting with him on the same table and about to share a meal with him... Everything is so surreal and Shawn still thinks it's just a-

  "Dream." Bryan smiled wider once he saw Shawn's eyes widen from shock after hearing him say that.

  Bryan winked towards Shawn then opened his mouth to say : "We can talk about all this ter but let me make my introductions first," He put an arm around Celest's shoulder and pulled her close then did the same to Linnet on the other side, "This is Celest... my girlfriend."

  'You've got balls saying this girl is your girlfriend in front of your actual girlfriend,' Shawn thought while struggling against the urge to take a cigarette out to smoke right there and then but when his eyes fell on Linnet to check her expression because he was expecting this girl to throw a tantrum, start an argument, or at least experience a small shift in her expression he was very surprised to see her smiling and snuggling in Bryan's embrace as if it's the natural thing to have her boyfriend shared with another girl, 'What's going on with the world? One day he's dirt poor and the next he's ridiculously wealthy! One day he's single and the next he's embracing a beauty with each of his arms! One day he's timid and cking any sense of confidence but the next he's oozing self-belief and looking extremely reliable! Did common sense come crashing with the market or what?'
