The vilge liaison bowed deeply. "You honor me too much."
"Not at all."
The two men exged more—pleasa the entrance of the Uzumaki pound.
Uzumaki Reina, her braided hair swaying, stared at the e above the gate: [Uzumak.
The setting sun cast long shadows across the courtyard.
The a pound, bathed in the warm glow, seemed—peaceful. Its gates were closed, paper nterns swayily in the breeze.
Cherry blossom trees lihe stoh, their petals falling like pink snowfkes. In the distance, a pond reflected the setting sun, a few lotus flowers floating on its surface.
So—this—magnifit estate—it was theirs now?
Rei a wave of disbelief. It was so close to the bustling ercial district, it had to be worth a fortu least ten million ryō.
Ten million!
A sum they could never earn, even w their entire lives in the Land of Bears. And now—it was theirs.
"Ahem. Wele to Konoha, Uzumaki ."
A warm, mase voice echoed from the distance.
Reina turned and saw a tall man approag, waving. Beside him stood a man wearing Uchiha attire and a red-haired woman.
"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Gojo Kaigetsu, Konoha Advisor and Elder. This is Uchiha Fugaku, and this is Uzumaki Momohime."
Gojo Kaigetsu looked at the assembled Uzumaki, a faint smile pying on his lips. Another—milestone achieved.
He'd always wondered: Why hadn't the Five Great Nations absorbed the scattered Uzumaki survivors? They possessed a powerful bloodline and invaluable sealing jutsu.
It was as if the entire ninja world had—fotten them.
Only insignifit vilges had sought them out, to use them as—ingredients. Such a waste.
Gojo Kaigetsu had already issiosuo—experiment. Uzumaki blood, bined with certain herbs, had remarkable restorative properties. And Uzumaki—well, let's just say they were a valuable resource.
'Time to—upgrade Konoha's medical system.'
Access to healthcare in the ninja world roblem. Expensive, limited, and often—iive.
Even in Konoha, the most medically advanced vilge, these issues persisted.
Firstly, access.
Mediin were rare.
Tsunade, after Nawaki's death, had championed medical reform, advog for increased iment in training and the inclusion of mediin in every ninja squad.
She'd cshed with Hiruzen Sarutobi over this. And he, Gojo Kaigetsu, had stepped in, supp Tsunade while Hiruzen a—graceful way out.
Why were mediin so scarce? Because resources were fihe vilges prioritized bat ninja.
And training mediin was a long, expensive process, requiring specialized skills, extensive practice, and—well, let's just say there was a high—patient turnover rate.
Every skilled mediin represented a signifit iment.
Ninja, after all, were expendable. Leaves on the wind. They died, and new leaves sprouted. The Will of Fire endured.
Even Konoha, with its wealth and resources, struggled. The other vilges…
Iwagakure's situation was unknown. Kumogakure relied on brute ford Lightning Release to—power through injuries. Sunagakure, specializing in poison, had some medical expertise, with Chiyo being a renowned mediin. But they cked the resources and the personnel.
And Kirigakure—well, aside from the elders and the Mizukage, injuries were often—fatal. Killing was—a form of mercy.
Then there was the cost.
A ninja's body, strohan an ordinary person's, was also—more difficult to heal.
Medical supplies were even more expehan explosive tags. A ninja who never progressed beyond Genin might spend their entire career's earnings on—medical bills.
Eveen, the self-procimed "Price Reducer," couldn't—fix that.
Yagura, still in Konoha Hospital's Top Ward, his initial treatment had illions of ryō. While Gojo Kaigetsu had—ihe bill, Kirigakure had still paid.
And then, there was the mediin's fee. They couldn't earhan bat ninja, could they?
Even with Gojo Kaigetsu's efforts, medical care remained expensive.
He uood Sakura Haruno's fidenow. Even if she actally destroyed a house, there were plenty of wealthy ts willing to pay a fortune for her services.
And finally—there were those who simply couldn't be healed.
Bloodline diseases, for instance. Even Tsunade owerless against those.
Despite its fws, Konoha Hospital, under his and Tsunade's leadership, had signifitly improved.
It was a testament to how—backward the ninja world's medical system had been.
Gojo Kaigetsu had a solution.
The Senju and Uzumaki s.
The Sage of Six Paths had said, "Ninshū is about creation." And the Sage Body—it was a gift for healing.
He'd—experimented. Senju blood, on its own, had orative properties.
Perhaps—the Senju's Sage Body was meant for destru. Their enhanced healing and chakra reserves were for personal use.
The Uzumaki Sage Body, however, was different. Even Momohime, a civilian, could heal others with her blood.
He'd had Tsuest Kushina's blood. The results were—clusive.
The Uzumaki's body itself was a Kekkei Genkai, regardless of training or awakening. Their vitality, their chakra—it could be shared. They were—nurturers.
The Uzumaki's arrival would solve Konoha Hospital's problems.
Limited access? Triage. Those who needed—Uzumaki-brand healing could purchase it. The rest could be—practiedical trainees.
High costs? Initially, no. But with more Uzumaki, the price would eventually fall.
Incurable diseases? If Tsunade and Uzumaki healing couldn't fix it—well, then it was Orochimaru's problem.
Gojo Kaigetsu, making himself at home, greeted the nine Uzumaki survivors.
He pulled out a notebook. "Uzumaki Shūkan, forty-four, civilian. Uzumaki Reina, twenty-one, Genin, unmarried…"
He paused, gng at Reina.
'Unmarried—excellent. The Uchiha are taken care of, the Senju and Kaguya have no—didates. I'll have to ask Hiashi about any eligible bachelors.'
". Uzumaki Shanks, seventeen, Genin…" He looked at the—unusually mature-looking teenager with a scarred fad a bde of grass dangling from his lips. " you—use Haki?"
"What's Haki? I only mold chakra."
"Never mind. Go py."
The—sus was soon plete.
Five of the nine, aside from Shūkan, were Genin.
A surprisingly high pertage.
Though they cked headbands, their chakra signatures were—undeniable.
But their clothes—they hadn't been w as ninja. Likely to avoid attention.
"Now—do any of you know the whereabouts of other Uzumaki survivors?"
"We've—maintained tact through letters. But many are—gone," Shūkan said, his voice heavy with—loss. He seemed less wary now, sensing Gojo Kaigetsu's siy.
"Bring them to Konoha. This is—their home. Or—stay here for a while, experiehe vilge. Then—tact them."
"What are your—pns for the future? The pound, the houses—they're yours now. A gift from Konoha. If you wish to—start a business, we'll offer tax iives. If you want to bee ninja, we'll provide training and missions. If you're ied in—research, we have state-of-the-art facilities and instructors. And if you—simply want a peaceful life—have children! For every child, you'll receive a k mission reward – 100,000 ryō from the vilge, and another 100,000 from me, personally."
Gojo Kaigetsu turo Shūkan. "You're the new Uzumaki Head. What are your—pns?"
"I—I just want a—quiet life."
"Then have children. We'll provide for you."
"But—I'm forty-four."
"Where there's a will, there's a way. I've heard Chiyo of Sunagakure is around ye, and—also single. Perhaps—I —arrange something."
"Really?!" Shūkan's eyes lit up. Advisojo was—a true friend.
"Chiyo? Isn't she—older thahird Hokage?" Fugaku Uchiha muttered.
Inter-vilge peace through marriage.
Sunagakure's new Kazekage would likely—purge Chiyo and Ebizo.
And Shūkan, now the Uzumaki Head, a promi figure in Konoha—a suitable match for Chiyo.
And then there was Koharu Utatane, also—single. And Ebizo…
Chiyo and Ebizo were skilled ninja. If they joined Konoha—past flicts between Suna and Konoha could be seen as—steps towards unification.
Gojo Kaigetsu shuddered, dismissing the thought. It was—too much.
