“So in other words, the point of this meeting is because y’all want to revolt against Zekram? The same guy who introduced us all to one another?” I asked for crification.
Although Ajuka nodded his head in reply, I see the hidden tensed expression behind his calm face.
The other two, Sirzechs and Falbium both looked at me, directly to my eyes, as if they were tellihat if I were to refute them, I would find myself in a bitter dition.
As for Serafall, she remained oblivious to the choking athmosphere and tio mush up her fay chest like I’m some sort of a bucket of cologne.
“I thought I was the only one.” My answer was earned by a bunch of sighs in relief.
“Good, looks like everyone here is on board.” Ajuka nodded his head as everyoopped what they were doing and gathered around the small round table.
“As we all know, Zekram has his way with words, almost fooling all of us. Thankfully, during our st meeting, I discovered a hole in his words. How and why did he actively searched for the said Apocalypse Beast? Not anyone would be insanse enough to risk their life by traversing the Dimensional Gap, a pce where was not only ruled by the twest Beings, but also rip a normal devil to shreds if oo enter without areme safety measures.” Ajuka expined his source of suspi, stating how it has taken root during their st meeting.
He’s kinda right, Zekram indeed has o risk his life entering the Dimensional Gap and tally discovered the Apocalypse Beast, which itself is already suspicious.
How Zekram find the Apocalypse Beast without any help, tips or hint? It’s as if he wants to hide something, or more specifically, someone.
“I think this Apocalypse Beast is either a lie or real and Zekram wao use it more than just against Big G.” Ajuka stated his clusion which was tinued by Sirzechs.
“You mean, Zekram wao use the Beast against the other pantheons?”
“Not just other pantheons. But also us.” Ajuka’s words made the rest look at him in shock.
“Are you serious?” Serafall muttered a question, her eyes wide.
“I’m afraid I am.” Ajuka replied by shaking his head.
“Zekram…Is it really greed? Or something else? He always talks about wanting devils to asd and evolve.” Sirzechs chimed in, as if he couldn’t believe the shog revetion.
“Sirzechs, any man will always fall into power. Even us, so don’t give him the be of the doubt.” Ajuka advised with a strict tone, catg Sirzechs by surprise.
I guess he wasn’t used to this version of Ajuka, eveually.
“But what’s the point of discussing it? It’s not like we’re going against him or something, right?” By the time she finished her words, we were staring directly at her eyes.
“R-Right?” Serafall awkwardly smiled as she started to doubt.
“…Serafall, if Zekram caught a word of what we’re doing, we’re going to faething worse than being caught as a member of the Anti-Satan fa. Zekram might act kind and all but if you look at his past, you’ll think otherwise.” Ajuka answered as if stating the obvious.
Zekram’s past? Now I’m curious.
“So, what’s our end goal here?” I leaned on the wall and asked, ag both cool and mysterious. ’t help it, it runs in the blood.
“We don’t have end goals. We’ll simply watch over Zekram and make sure he won’t go overboard. He only wants what’s good for us devils but he also wants what’s good for him. We’ll be here to mediate between his ambitions for the devils and himself.” Ajuka crified, earning nods from others, including me.
“I agree.” Sirzechs raised a hand and said, followed by Falbium and Serafall, with me being the st to raise a hand.
“Zekram likes to set up a meeting with one of us personally in random interval. Whatever he talks to you about during those meetings, make sure to stay alert and not fall for his silver tongue, and once you’re done, make sure to report to each of us.” Ajuka then proceeded to y a few set of instrus to fully maximize their guard against Zekram.
Ohe meeting was done, Serafall quickly approached me.
“ChamCham, I missed you! I want to travel the human world with you!” Serafall g onto me like a koa as she says her want.
Just as I was about to find a way to refuse her, Ajuka, for the first time since we met, came to save me.
“I’m sorry, Serafall, but that travel might be deyed. I’ll borrow Chamber for a while.” Before Serafall could refuse her in my stead, I quickly snatched it first.
“Sure, I’m free today. Let’s go.” Casting an apologetic look towards Serafall who outing, me and Ajuka then proceeded to leave the room and advao his study.
“What’s the rush?” I asked as we ehe study room.
“It’s about this.” Ajuka grabbed something from his table before showing it to me.
It's a pawn evil piece.
“What am I looking at?” I asked for an expnation which he gave.
“I also read the file about Zekram’s pn towards the Evil Pieces, he doesn’t just want humans to be turned into devils, but other races too such as Vampires, Werewolves and many more.” Ajuka then dropped a folder oable that he grabbed from a drawer.
“So I made a pn. Obviously, I ’t leave a loophole of reinated devils being spies and using the strength of our own to deal against ourselves.”
“During my free time, I added two effects oure uping Evil Pieces.” Ajuka proceeded to turn the file to the first page.
“First is an effect where reinated devils would slowly feel loyalty towards our kind over time. To make it not suspicious, it will start slow but o has taken root on their heart, it will immediately spread.” He then turo the page.
“Lastly, a side-effect of betrayal. Each evil piece is ected to its dedicated King Piece. Sihe effect of loyalty will start slow, betrayal is still possible, hence I decided to make it so betraying the master shall be met with a punishment. This, however isn’t that effective, if the reinated devil is strohan their master, the side-effect would be nulled.”
“So what’s the punishment?” I asked.
“I have no idea yet. Their Demoniergy iheir body will bee chaotid cause them to bee disfigured and weaken them greatly. If their master is strong enough, they even be killed by the punishment. All in all, the punishment is decided by how strong their master is.” Ajuka cluded, raising his chest in pride.
Me, oher hand, just cast a fused look towards him.
“Why are you tellihis?”
“Well, first of all. You’re the first reinated human and I want your thoughts about this. Sed, I’m gonna need your permission to do this and stly, I want to assure you that you’re exempted from these effects as what Serafall used on you rototype, tainiher of the side effects I mentioned.” He uttered.
My thoughts, huh?
To be ho, even if I were to tell him that I don’t like it, Ajuka wouldn’t make an exception and still proceed with it.
So what’s the point of opposing him?
However, that doesn’t mean I’ll let him do what he wants without anything iurn.
“Sounds good to me. And it’s pretty normal to have such suspis. However, that doesn't mean I’ll let you use it to your own advantage instead.” Crossing my arms, I see the relief on Ajuka’s face being dashed upon hearing the end of my sentence.
“And that is?” Ajuka asked with a sigh of defeat.
“I don’t like you taking advantage of humans by luring them with nothing but bes. I only want two things when a devil wants to reinate a human into a devil.” I raised a single finger up.
“First, ead every devil will have to gh me before they could reinate a human of their choice. Their chosen human will have to be sed by me, and what I meant by that is I would see if their mind is tempered or being bckmailed.” Hearing my words, Ajuka didn’t hesitate before nodding his head secutively.
Then I raised another finger.
“Lastly, when reination a human. I want them to be aware of what they’re dealing with, such as knowing that their loyalty will be maniputed against their will and the side-effects of betraying their master.” At this point, I see the hesitation taking effe Ajuka’s face.
“But…won’t that make it hard for devils to vince humans then?” Ajuka’s face grimaced at it.
“Not my fault. Devils are supposed to have their way with words, make good use of it.” Iurn, I simply shrugged my shoulders a him to deal with it.
As long as those two ditions of mine be met, I’ll have no problem with this.
Ajuka fell into ption for a few moments before sighing aing.
“Fine. But only humans, right? Not the others?” Ajuka asked for firmation.
“Yes, only humans.” My answer earned a sigh in relief.
“Okay. That doesn’t bad. Though that would make humans less picked by devils when choosing their peerage member.” Ajuka muttered the st one which was heard by me.
“Peerage member?” I asked.
“Haha~ that’s the sed reason what I wao talk about.”
“Hear me out.”
