Chapter Twenty-Four Mysterious Sewing
It's as if an ancient myth is unfolding before our eyes.
Anyone's power seems so small in this struggle, on this full moon night, Ye Han couldn't help but feel his heart and soul shaken by this great and indescribable battle.
The majestic waves roared, the Dead Lake seemed to have completely lost its temper, rolling up endless waves, surrounding the entire giant solitary peak in the center. It stirred up wave after wave, each one as high as a skyscraper that blocked out the sky and sun.
A colossal water ape, entirely composed of blue lake water, with its upper body connected to the lake. It possesses boundless strength and emits a mighty roar, stirring up fierce waves that surge towards the solitary peak.
That enormous, white, serpent-like ancient creature entwined around the solitary peak opened its blood-red eyes, as if thoroughly enraged by the provocative actions of the Undead Lake, revealing its lithe body, like a white, ancient dragon king, displaying its fearsome power that could summon the winds and rains, and overturn rivers and seas.
A loud rumble.
The first collision between the two was no less than a small-scale aerial missile attack. The bursting airwave and the splashing water that filled the sky were like burying tons of TNT bombs at the bottom of the sea, unknown in number. In an instant, the explosion revealed the most terrible destructive power.
The leaves of coldness on the azure giant ape's fur, directly spat out a mouthful of fresh blood. Even if he was far away from the center of the struggle, with his current strength, he couldn't withstand the residual aura of the two fighting at all.
The massive blue giant ape's half body directly collapsed into the sky's lake water. But in an instant, even more massive amounts of tens of millions of tons of lake water attached to its body, re-condensing into the indestructible lake's massive water ape. Once again, it charged towards that white, snake-like ancient creature with a roar.
That white, serpent-like ancient creature opened its blood-red eyes and exposed more than half of its body, lithe and powerful, as if it were the perfect embodiment of strength and beauty. Its four huge white dragon claws stepped on the water's surface, looking up at the sky and letting out a furious roar, showing extreme anger. Behind it, a bright moon rose high in the sky, making it look even more majestic and powerful.
Rumble!
The two sides collided again, as if a massive earthquake shook the earth. The land plates around them seemed to be shaking with unbearable weight. The water of the Dead Lake splashed against the peaks, and the sound waves were endless.
Ye Han was swept away by the raging waves, on the periphery of the two parties' attack, and spat out another mouthful of blood. His expression was listless, but his eyes were very bright.
"I can't wait any longer like this. Otherwise, if nothing happens between these two, I will die from the aftermath of their attacks."
Just as he was thinking, another terrifying force struck. This time, the entire body of the giant water ape that had transformed from the Undead Lake collapsed, and Ye Han, who was attached to its blue fur, was thrown out. Borrowing this terrible force, Ye Han spat out a mouthful of blood, and with a sudden surge of energy in mid-air, the air machine that had been dormant in his heart for so long, suddenly burst forth. In an impossible situation, he stomped on the air, twisted his waist, and changed the direction of his flight, rushing towards the center of the stormy waves, the central position of the mountain peak.
"It's like walking on the peak, perhaps there is still a thread of life."
Ye Han's eyes shone brightly, his spirit more concentrated than ever before. He had already made some guesses in his heart, that the true target of the Undead Lake was this white snake-like ancient creature guarding the isolated peak, and it seemed to be trying to get in. This was also the ultimate reason why these two terrifying existences became sworn enemies as soon as they met.
There must be something strange about this. If it were in the past, if there was any chance of survival, Ye Han would not have chosen this path. Because it's too dangerous, too adventurous, and very likely to end up dead without a burial place. But now, with the lake water overflowing all around, the fierce wind raging, and two huge creatures overturning the sea, there is no longer an opportunity to leave, even if it's worse, where can it be worse than this?
Whether compared to the Undead Lake or that enormous, white, serpent-like ancient creature, Ye Han was like an insignificant ant. In terms of physical form and strength, it was all the same. So in this intense struggle, these two massive existences didn't notice him at all, instead allowing him to easily cross the boundary and fly towards the direction of Lone Peak's summit.
Then, just as he saw the boundary of the peak, Ye Han's face changed greatly, and he secretly said: "My life is over."
Completely different from all the conjectures and even preconceptions before, on the topmost layer of the solitary peak, a huge fissure like an abyss splits the entire mountain in two. A deep and seemingly bottomless chasm that connects the heavens and the earth appears right before one's eyes.
But at this moment, with no way forward and no retreat backward, Ye Han was already unable to borrow any strength. As soon as he lost consciousness, without any ability to resist, he fell into the boundless and fathomless, gigantic mysterious crevice in the ground.
In the blink of an eye, he vanished without a trace...
In the darkness, it seems as if there is no light at all.
Ye Han's entire body plummeted downwards, with his wet clothes fluttering loudly under the acceleration of gravity. The sound of wind whizzing past his ears was all he could hear, and he had no idea how far down he would fall.
Just at this moment, he felt his body relax, and with a 'thud', he fell onto a huge, soft fishing net.
Fortunately, with Ye Han's current strength, even if there was only a thread of light, he could see the entire dark scene clearly. Moreover, with his spiritual consciousness spreading out, everything within a hundred meters radius was laid bare before him.
As he looked around, he suddenly realized that he had fallen onto a gigantic golden net-like object that seemed to be woven from gold threads. Below him was an unfathomably deep abyss. Suspended in mid-air, it appeared eerily mysterious and frightening.
Ye Han's face turned bitter, but upon touching his waist, he couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief. Fortunately, his spatial pouch was still there, and inside it were nearly half of his possessions, including the heavy sword and some blue life crystals; if he had lost them, he would have been devastated.
Just as he was about to get up, Ye Han suddenly felt something strange under him.
By the faint light of the glowing moss on the cliff walls around him, he looked down and his face changed color.
A humanoid desiccated corpse with deeply sunken eye sockets stared straight at him.
