Cynthia, who said she wanted to eat roasted rabbit meat, hesitated and didn't take action.
She pursed her lips and soon found that eating delicious food was one thing, but hunting and killing were another, and the two couldn't be mentioned in the same breath.
Until the rabbit sensed something was off and hopped a little further away, Caius, who had deliberately concealed his presence, asked in puzzlement, "What are you hesitating about?"
"It's quite cute, can't bear to kill it." Cynthia sighed and turned back to him, "I don't get pleasure from hunting animals, I just enjoy the process of them being served on my table for me to eat."
"Your kindness is misplaced," Kael sneered. "You'll never know how many opportunities you've just lost, and how many people will beat you to it."
His words had just finished, a silver arrow broke through the air and came straight to Cincia's eyes, shooting the rabbit that was jumping far away, right in its red eyes, and penetrated its brain.
The arrow startled her horse and it shifted uneasily beneath her.
Cynthia tightened the reins, her gaze passing over Kayus to a grey-haired beauty in a red hunting outfit who was following them on foot, seemingly keeping pace with their horses without effort.
"Did you know she was behind all along?" Cynthia asked.
Caius said quietly, "You've missed your chance at prey."
That girl moved quickly, lightly running a few steps to the front of that rabbit, grabbing its rabbit ears. She didn't look at Cynthia and didn't show her any courtesy, but stared at Kairós, smiling and greeting him, "Kairós-sama, does your pet want this rabbit? I'm willing to give it to her directly."
Cynthia instantly understood what was on the little girl's mind, after all, every woman in Temolia liked this perfect and flawless but ill-tempered dark god.
Unexpectedly, her face was very calm, and there wasn't even a hint of unhappiness or embarrassment.
She calmly picked up the reins and continued running forward.
Kaiyas, who remained on the spot, gave a cold glance at the rabbit in the hand of the girl on the ground, and followed after clucking his horse's belly.
The girl who fell behind immediately caused her companions hiding in the dark to burst out laughing.
"I've told you, Angela, the Dark God is here to let his pets play, what are you going to add trouble to that beautiful blonde girl for?"
"You'd better worry about your own graduation scores!" Angela retorted angrily.
A red-haired youth with a playful voice jumped down from the trunk, "Goodbye Angela, your tracking skills are so fierce, you have to help me graduate smoothly."
"Adults agree to have barbecue with me tonight, and I will help you complete your graduation."
Angela boldly chased after the two horses that had disappeared.
The young man shook his head, but with a mindset of watching a good show, he also followed along.
Cynthia saw many wild rabbits and deer on the road again, but without exception, they were all shot by Angela who was chasing after them.
Kairos stood shoulder to shoulder with her, speaking in a strict tone used for teaching students: "Do you want to always have your prey snatched away? You shouldn't be so weak that you can't even kill a rabbit."
He deliberately let the people behind him go, just to provide Cynthia with a reasonable teaching environment, so that she could deeply understand that everything she wanted had to be taken by herself.
Cynthia's expression has become dull and boring, while Kael has become hateful and resentful, two extremes.
"Kairos." She turned her head, seriously repeating what she had said before, "I understand the reasoning, but I like to eat, it doesn't mean I enjoy the process of animals being pierced through their brains."
Cynthia looked at him coldly and said, "You've already killed nearly 10 rabbits following us, don't follow us anymore."
"The prey in the hunting ground is meant to be shot and killed." Angela had already packed a backpack with rabbits, and was holding a wild deer in her hand, looking at Cynthia with disdain. "It's just a wild rabbit, an adult's pet, no need to be so petty."
"Whatever." Cynthia nodded, "I really dislike you, so can you stay away from me?"
Angela's facial expression stiffened, but she still maintained a smile, "The hunting ground is so big, if you don't hunt, I'll take care of it, no problem."
"It's no problem, but the hunting ground is so big, you don't have to follow me around like a hunting dog, it really disrupts my interest in sightseeing."
Every animal that Cynthia stopped to take a closer look at was killed by the woman, who was clearly provoking her, and she didn't want to tolerate it anymore.
Angel's expression was ugly to the extreme, she subconsciously looked at Kael and found that he had been staring at Cynthia all along, without any extra expression on his face.
"Ahh!"
In the depths of the eternal night forest, a mournful howl echoed out.
Originally, with Cynthia making a fuss, Keares' expression suddenly tensed up, "You go back first."
"Something's coming in?" Cynthia frowned.
"A deceitful demon." Kael said with great disgust and ordered her, "Your sightseeing ends early, take the horse back and wait for me."
Not hunting, but sightseeing.
Cynthia suppressed her urge to smile and said out of concern, "Be careful then."
Kaiyang didn't ride his horse back either. He directly activated the teleportation array on the horse's back, and in an instant, he disappeared, leaving only the horse he was riding still there.
Cynthia patted its head, "Come back with me."
She completely ignored Angela, whose face was already extremely ugly, and took Kael's horse to run back and forth.
The boy hiding behind the tree trunk jumped down again, and with a smile at Angela said: "Your invitation looks like it will only get adults' disgust, that lovely pet already dislikes you."
Angela looked at the young man in front of her with a gloomy face, "Your Lost Array, isn't it done very well? Let her get lost in the forest."
"Are you crazy!?" The young man directly shook his head in refusal. "You don't know how Elisa and Elena died?"
"The maze was used to hunt down prey, no one would have found out it was us." Angela's eyes were filled with ferocity and anger, "Those two are also my sisters, I just gave her a little punishment, what's wrong with that? A lowly noble from Rydania, daring to be so arrogant in front of me."
"You help me with this, and I'll get your graduation results ready within a week."
The young man hesitated for a moment, his heart racing with anxiety, but for the sake of his grades, he gritted his teeth and said: "Deal."
He crouched down, his hands covering the mud and grass, a green spell array unfolding in the palm of his hand.
Cynthia soon discovered something was amiss and she was certain that her route back had been correct.
