Chapter Thirty-One: The Royal Pharmacist

"What's going on?" Leyman, a retired veteran who had been to the battlefield, glared with his eyes and a killing aura emanated from him.

"It's him, I've come to buy a horse, but he doesn't take care of me, you should fire him!" Matt thought that Downton, such a poor man appearing at the stable, had no other reason except to work.

"Who told you he was a worker?" Layman said, no longer paying attention to Matt's nonsense, and waved his hand.

Two servants immediately placed the box in front of Downton and opened the lid.

A heap of glittering gold coins lay inside, radiating dazzling luster under the sunlight, and the postmen's gaze froze instantly, unable to help but swallow their saliva.

"That gemstone my wife has appraised, according to the market price, is worth nearly 40,000 Delran. Leyman patted Danton's shoulder, with a warm attitude, 'Here are 20,000 gold coins, and the extra will be considered as Uncle's fodder money for Black Emperor!'"

Dundon nodded, he didn't think Layman would find the money.

"Kid, you've got a good temper, I'm keeping an eye on you." Layman turned his head and roared at the servant, "What are you still standing there for? Hurry up and get Black Emperor saddled!"

"What did you say? All these gold coins are his?" Not only Matt, but also the five postmen were stunned, and another one was still dizzy on the ground.

"Could it be yours?" Layman spat out a mouthful of water, pondering the origin of the gemstone in Tang Dun's hand. He wasn't a rich man either, but why didn't he even blink when faced with 20,000 gold coins?

"How is this possible?" Matt muttered, his eyes almost bulging out of their sockets.

"Little brother, if you have such gems in the future, remember to find me!" Layman was both testing Tong Dun and considering long-term cooperation. These gems were of good quality, his experienced wife said, and with some processing, they could be sold for a good price.

This is also why Lehman traded according to current gem prices, otherwise he would have swallowed it directly. His straightforward personality does not mean that he will let go of the opportunity to make a big profit.

The groom's movements were quick, and when the bit and reins were put on Hei Huang, the warhorse was a little uneasy, but soon calmed down.

Under the black belly of the horse, the girths were tightened and the stirrups adjusted. The groom led it to Darcy's side.

"It's all yours now!" Leyman handed the reins over to Downton.

"Did he buy this horse?" Although there were early signs, Ma Te still had a glimmer of hope, but when he saw this scene, he was completely stunned.

Five postal workers also looked at him with incredible eyes, more than half a month ago, Tang Dun was still a poor man in the same situation as them, why can he afford to buy horses now?

"This must be a joke by the goddess of fate!" A postman disbelieved, rubbed his eyes, "I must have seen wrongly."

As the groom tied the box of gold coins onto the back of the horse, Downton stepped into the stirrup and swung himself up into the saddle.

"Uncle Lehmann, I still have something on, so I'll take a step first." Tong Dun looked down at Ma Te with an air of superiority and lightly kicked the horse's belly.

Hei Huang trotted out of the stable with a quick pace.

Matt's face suddenly turned bright red, he had already prepared to be ridiculed by Tongdon, but the other party didn't even bother to look at him, this kind of disregard made him feel even more embarrassed than being scolded.

"Do you think I'm not worthy of being your opponent? Just wait and see, I'll become a Mage soon, and when that time comes, I'll make you pay back for the humiliation I've suffered!" Matt glared venomously at Danton's back, making a silent vow.

"Are you here to buy horses?" Leyman eyed Matt's attire and snorted, "Take them to another stable, pick out a few lame old nags for them to choose from. A bunch of poor devils who can't even afford inferior warhorses, what a waste of time."

Leyman ignored these civilians and continued riding his horse.

The summer breeze is like a lover's hand, bringing the cool shade of the forest, brushing against the cheek, making people feel refreshed and can't help but sigh.

Downton rode Black Emperor, making a light gallop on the shaded path, leaving behind crisp hoofbeats.

The previous postmaster valued Tong Dun highly, and some urgent letters were only sent by him with peace of mind. So Tong Dun took the opportunity to learn horse riding while riding the postal horse, and even learned a set of dressage steps.

"Something on your mind?" It had been a while since Tang Don spoke, and Holma threw out the words.

"A poor kid suddenly buys a horse, if it were you, wouldn't you be curious?" Tang Don took out the magic book and explained the reason. "Chenfeng Town is not big, my buying a large amount of supplies will eventually spread out, and when that happens, it may attract attention from people with ulterior motives."

  "Or change to another town?"

"In the largest town on the Redwood Border, Morning Mist Town has the most complete goods. If you want to buy potions and magic stones, you have to come here." Tang Don sighed, "These are nothing, I can still use the gems I picked up to fool them, but when I saved the adventure team before, I used the Dragon's Tooth, that Hannah looks like a meticulous master, I'm afraid she will suspect."

The more he thought about it, the more loopholes Tang Don found in his own plan.

"No need to worry, just be careful not to be followed. This time when entering the underground city, make an effort to collect soul fragments and open the transmission gate of the magic book as soon as possible. At that time, you can go back and forth between the underground city and the town directly through it, and don't have to worry about being chased." Holma had encountered too many dangers and immediately thought of a countermeasure.

Danton accelerated his horse's pace, if he had enough military power to crush them, why bother, thinking that Robinson's trio was still in the underground city, wildly extracting magic and digging for wealth, he felt heartache.

Entering Morning Mist Town, Tang Dong didn't return home, instead rushing to the largest Eugene Pharmacy. He didn't notice that a beggar guarding the town entrance left immediately with great joy after seeing him.

"This is top-grade stone skin potion, and it's yours for just twenty-eight gold coins. I'm losing money on this deal."

Old Eugene glanced at Downton, who had just walked into the store, quickly assessed his purchasing power, and then ignored him, continuing to peddle the stone skin ointment to the three mercenaries.

"What? Too expensive? Let me tell you, this is a military-designated defense medicine, you can't buy it anywhere else."

Old Eugene had a face full of wrinkles, was less than 1.5 meters tall, and with his fat belly, wearing a long gown, he looked like a top.

Everyone in the town said he had dwarf blood, but Old Eugene didn't become a blacksmith, instead surprisingly having a low-ranking pharmacist qualification. As for his son Little Eugene, his reputation spread to dozens of small towns on the Redwood border, even more famous than the mayor.

Businessman Robinson is the struggling goal of young people, because everyone knows that as long as they work hard, they can catch up with him. But little Eugene, no one even thinks about comparing themselves to him.

Robinson is like a stone on the ground compared to Little Eugen, with an insurmountable gap.

An official member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, this was Eugene's title and proof of his status and worth. Even the mayor had to be careful when meeting him.

"Liar? You don't even bother to find out my son's identity, the real royal pharmacist. I wouldn't have been able to get this high-quality medicine if I didn't have the qualifications." Old Eugene spat on the ground, his face full of disdain. "If you're not buying, that's fine. There are many people who appreciate good stuff. It'll be sold out in less than two days anyway."

Three mercenaries were moved and bought five bottles of Stone Skin Potion at a high price.

After taking this medicine, within ten minutes, the skin surface will become a hard stone, enhancing defensive power.

"Welcome back!" Old Eugene pinched the gold coin, blew on it, and put it to his ear, hearing a humming vibration, then satisfactorily stuffed it into his money box.

Inside the store, rows of wooden shelves painted red were lined up, displaying various bottled medicines. Under the sunlight filtering through the window lattices, they presented different colors, giving off a high-end and mysterious feel.

Dangton stood in front of a bottle of medicine, seeing the liquid inside occasionally condensing into the shape of a swimming fish, and couldn't help but praise it repeatedly, becoming even more eager to learn about magical medicine.

"Hey, don't touch that carelessly, you'll break it! You won't even be able to afford the compensation if you sell yourself!" Old Eukin glared at Tong Dun, then sat back in his recliner, not even bothering to respond.

This little devil has seen too much, he came in out of curiosity, let alone medicine, even the dregs can't be bought.

Old Eugene had a bad reputation in town, loved money, liked to boast and looked down on everyone.

Tang Dun was worried about being scolded, so he kept his arms hanging down at both sides of his body, but still couldn't avoid it.

"I want to buy a magic stone."

Danton walked up to the counter, Old Eugene didn't even lift an eyebrow. "Danton, I know you, a little mail runner, heard they also call you the Western Fox, what a boastful claim, do you know who Little Eugene is?"

"I want to buy a magic stone." Tang Dun repeated again.

"My son, the noble royal pharmacist, is more aristocratic than the nobles themselves! The fox of the western border? What nonsense!" Old Eugene thought that only his own son was the best, and everyone else was a fool.

Downton's eyebrows furrowed enough to crush a crab.

"Want to buy a magic stone? Five hundred gold coins!" Old Eugin stretched out his hand from under the chaise longue, pulled out a thumb-sized magic stone and tossed it onto the counter, casually quoting a high price. "No money? Scram!"

Tang Dun didn't say anything and directly walked out of the pharmacy.

"Pfft, country bumpkin still wants to buy a magic stone, doesn't know his own strength!" Old Eukin glanced at Tangdon's back, disdainfully spat out a wad of thick phlegm, and pondered that after a while, he would leave this small town and move to the big city to settle down.

"The whole town is full of country bumpkins, and the air even smells foul. Once I get to the main city, I'll enter the best tavern and play with the most beautiful dancing girls!"

Old Egein was having a beautiful dream when he saw a large trunk with a loud crash, rushing through the door and hitting the wall with a loud bang, shattering into pieces.

With a crash, wood shavings flew everywhere, and the yellow gold coins poured out like mercury, spreading all over the floor. In the sunlight, they sparkled dazzlingly, as if a layer of golden carpet had been laid down.

"Is this enough?" Danton stood at the door, juggling five gems in his hand, which shone with a luxurious luster under the sunlight.

Listening to the melodious sound of the coins colliding, looking at those five luxurious gems, Old Eugene's mouth was wide open, like a toad with its body pinched, both eyeballs almost popping out.
