Chapter 26: Encounter with an Adventurers Party

In less than a second, as his right foot touched the ground, Tang Don's eyes were suddenly stabbed by the scorching sunlight and involuntarily closed.

Unlike the dark environment of the dungeon, this small town on Crow Ridge is basking in the summer sun, although it is still dilapidated and decadent, but slightly exudes a warm atmosphere.

  "Four, alert!"

Danton gestured for the ghoul to stand in front of him, his left hand covering his eyes, opening a slit.

Inside the corridor, it was quiet and still. Sunlight filtered through the rotten roof, leaving behind a strip of light pillars, where you could clearly see dust particles swirling around.

  "Open the way!"

At Tonton's command, Number Four darted ahead, racing down the stairs and out of the hotel, speeding towards the outskirts of town.

Tang Dun followed closely behind, for convenience in action, he and No. 4 were all wearing leather armor, the Dragon Tooth was also put into the war space, bringing a Roman short sword.

As long as he doesn't run into that suspected Lord-tier Ghoul, Tandon is almost safe. The boy who used to have a high chance of dying against ordinary Ghouls has now become a fish killer.

Enjoying the warm summer breeze, looking at those low shrubs, Tong Dun had a feeling of being carefree and jumping with joy.

At the entrance of the town, a wandering ghoul saw Tong Dun and immediately pounced on him like a mad dog that had been starving for several months.

Dongton leaned forward, took a few big strides to accelerate, and left No. 4 behind him. Then, with a giant leap, he soared high into the air, directly crossing over a distance of ten meters.

With his right hand holding a short sword high, Tang Don brought down the momentum of his falling body and slashed fiercely at the Ghoul's skull.

  Giant Kill!

Zhiran, the ghoul was like butter sliced by a scorching hot knife, its entire body split into two halves without any suspense.

  "Number four, advance!"

Tang Dun didn't even look at the dismembered corpse-eating ghost, and with a wave of his right hand, he continued to speed forward like a hurricane!

The raven, pecking at the rotting soil with its claws, was startled and flapped its wings, flying up into the sky with a loud cawing noise, as if cursing Danton.

Having walked nearly two-thirds of the way, Tang Don hadn't seen a single ghoul, but instead of relaxing, he became even more cautious.

"It's so quiet? It seems too abnormal!"

Taking advantage of the slow walk's rest time, Tang Don took out the magic book and wrote a letter to ask.

"Be careful and there will be no big mistakes!" Holma projected the text, "When you have the chance, buy some scouting magic accessories, it will make your situation much safer."

"First buy a horse, this is too much of a waste of time." Tanton thought about the gold coins in his wallet and smiled happily, "Orleans highland horse, I'm coming!"

"Indeed a commoner, just look at your meager appearance, as barren as a land spirit!" Holma's venomous tongue.

"Then buy a Flanders pure-blooded horse, I've heard they have a hint of Wyvern's power in their bloodline and can run for thousands of miles!" Tong Dun gritted his teeth, "If not, then get the Golden Sunflower Unicorn!"

"What a shallow, ignorant, and inexperienced commoner you are! I must educate you on some basic knowledge, or else it would be a shame to Lady Holma's face!" Holma despised the iron that couldn't be forged into steel. "When your strength increases a bit more, I'll teach you how to set up a summoning array and fetch a pure-blooded Blazing Nightmare from the depths of the Abyss!"

"How long must we wait?" Downton's eyes lit up, and as for Holma's plebeian mouth, he ignored it.

Homa doesn't really look down on Tondon, that plebeian is just its verbal habit, even if a high-ranking spirit stands in front of it, it will still be called a plebeian.

"Wait until you reach the War Rank before speaking, otherwise with your current strength, you'll become fodder for nightmares! Holma saw that Tang Dong was slightly excited and added, "During this time, we can't slack off either. We need to gather summoning materials, at least 500 of those relatively intact Soul Seals, and their quality must be good!"

"Five hundred, doesn't that mean we have to kill five hundred low-ranking ghouls? Just looking at the materials needed for this summoning ritual, I can tell that whatever this Blazing Nightmare is, it's going to be a big deal."

Danton's eyes were immediately filled with expectation, and the little Glangtai had only one high horse, but he was arrogant and often rode it in front of himself, deliberately showing off.

When the time comes, we'll ride on our dreams and make him feel so ashamed that he won't dare to show up in front of us again.

A sudden and mournful cry broke into Tanton's sweet dream. He pricked up his ears, listening intently to the faint sounds of struggle carried on the gentle breeze.

"Someone's in trouble!" Tandon didn't hesitate and immediately rushed towards the direction of the sound, willing to lend a hand if he could.

Homa did not comment on Tang Dun's behavior and would not stop him. As a man, he should have his own judgment.

On the rotten soil, a large group of ghouls were frantically surrounding an adventure party.

The battle was precarious, with three team members already down, and over a dozen ghouls surrounding them, savagely tearing at their flesh, causing the dying men to let out heart-wrenching wails.

A knight clad in light armor shouted angrily, his left hand holding a shield and his right hand grasping a single-handed sword three fingers wide, repeatedly trying to break through the siege of the ghouls to rescue three heavily injured teammates, but every time he felled one undead creature, more would swarm up.

"Hamlet, never mind them, take advantage of your strength and rush out first!"

A warrior in red armor beside him urged anxiously, a moment's distraction, and he was caught on the arm by a ghoul's claw, bringing out sparks.

"You madman, if it weren't for you insisting on bringing them along, we wouldn't have been chased by the ghouls!" A female knight who had exhausted her magical energy supported herself with difficulty, tearfully accusing Halle.

An archer who was pale due to excessive blood loss wanted to speak, but instead kept coughing and spat out a mouthful of blood.

The archer's chest had several deep scratches that could see bone, if it weren't for the knight's healing magic, he would have died long ago.

"We can't abandon them." Knight Hamlet disagreed, "Hold on a bit longer, we can wipe out these ghouls!"

"Never mind him, let's go. This moralistic guy won't abandon them." Among the three of them, a female magician holding a staff was still standing, but her magic had also been exhausted, and she couldn't help at all, and someone else had to do the protecting.

These young people were all seventeen or eighteen years old. They heard that there was a tomb buried under Crow Ridge, so they formed a twelve-person adventure team to explore it.

The initial progress was smooth, killing the Corpse Eater, collecting souls, and picking up magic medicine along the way. However, when approaching the edge of the center of Crow Ridge, a companion responsible for scouting accidentally attracted an elite Corpse Eater.

As the team leader, the female magician was well aware of the team's strength and gave orders to retreat in time. However, the ghouls were too close, and these low-intelligence undead creatures even knew how to summon their companions with a call.

Escaping here, although they desperately killed high-ranking ghouls, the entire adventure party was also exhausted.

The female magician, despite being a war class, had used up all the magic potions and magic stones she was carrying, leaving her powerless.

"It's all your fault! Everyone is going to be killed because of you!" Under the pressure of death, the female knight covered in blood lost her calm and roared at Hamlet.

Others also blamed Hare, if it wasn't for this guy insisting on bringing his injured companion and slowing down everyone's speed, they would have escaped long ago.

"They are companions, don't abandon them!" Hamlet implored, wielding a single-handed sword, a golden light burst from the tip of the sword and expanded into a halo that enveloped the five.

This is a divine technique, a self-healing halo, after being bestowed upon, can slowly heal wounds.

"I'm still not ruthless enough, or else we wouldn't be on the verge of annihilation." The female magician glanced at her three companions who were on the brink of death from the ghouls' bites and gave a decisive order, "Let's go, Halle. If you're not going to change your ways, then stay behind and die!"

The Red Warrior and the Female Knight immediately followed in the footsteps of the Female Magician, the Archer wanted to keep up, but his legs were weak, he walked a few steps and fell to the ground.

"Don't leave me behind!" The archer cried out in a hoarse voice, begging the three who were trying to depart.

The female magician plugged her ears, but still couldn't leave. Hundreds of ghouls surrounded them, attacking frantically and blocking all escape routes.

"It's all because of you, you good-for-nothing! We're going to die, do you know that? We're going to die!" The archer saw the knight retreat in front of him and immediately used his longbow to whip his calf.

The archer had given up hope, so many ghouls, everyone was injured and out of magic, how could they possibly escape?

"Don't worry, trust me!" Hamlet was neither angry nor gave up, the face under his helmet remained firm and unyielding.

"The biggest regret of my life is teaming up with a moral freak like you." The Red Warrior cursed, wishing he could cut Halle down with one slash.

Downton appeared when this adventure team also reached the most dangerous situation.

"Save them!" Downton wasn't a cold-blooded person, no matter how dangerous it was, he had to try.

"Be careful, there are twenty-six low-ranking ghouls. "Holma pointed out the monsters that needed attention, opened the war space and handed the Dragon Tooth to No. 4.

"Someone's coming, save us!" The desperate female knight suddenly saw two figures rushing over from afar and immediately grasped at the last straw, shouting at the top of her lungs, almost tearing her vocal cords apart.

Tang Dun rushed forward one hundred yards, directly raised his hand, and a burst of golden light exploded from the tip of his finger.

A golden glow like sea sand appeared on Hamlet's head, then sprinkled onto his body, and strength immediately filled his tired body.

Tang Dun continuously waved his hand, imbuing them with brilliant light. One hundred meters was the limit of his divine technique's range of effect; only when he advanced to the War stage would it increase again.

"We're saved, it's the power of Hercules!" The Red Warrior felt a surge of energy in his body and his spirit was immediately lifted.

"What's wrong with your brains, focus your firepower and attack a single point to break through the siege!" Tang Don roared, this shout made several ghouls on the periphery stare at him and pounce over.

  "Number Four!"

Tang Dun gave himself a boost of power and glory, took away the war axe, and No. 4 also rushed to the front under his command.

"It's this bastard who won't leave." The female knight seemed to have found a place to vent her frustrations and loudly complained.
