Wirtz had instructed Jyu to meet Master Jenna after finishing his business with Master Felix. Yet Jyu trembled even more, because Master Jenna was far more terrifying.

  In truth, Master Jenna was a beautiful woman in her forties. Even so, she looked youthful, her long hair flowing freely, and she liked to wear casual clothes like an ordinary girl. However, the frightening impression came from the decorations inside her room.

  “Hello, young man, what is your name?”

  Jyu stepped closer to Master Jenna. “Allow me to introduce myself, I’m Jyu.”

  “Alright! I’m hungry right now, so let’s meet again after lunch. Meet me at the training ground on the third floor.”

  Jyu was quite confused by Master Jenna’s one-sided decision, yet he still couldn’t argue. Willingly, he immediately left the room and chose to visit the cafeteria.

  At the DV Army headquarters, the cafeteria was located on the second floor. When he arrived, several students were already enjoying their meals. Jyu quickly joined the others in line.

  “Have you recovered, kid? What about your doll, does it need stitching?” said a man standing behind Jyu. His name was Marco.

  Jyu instantly turned around and found a tall man with droopy eyes. He remembered this man; besides Lucas, he was one of those who had mocked him earlier.

  “I’ve recovered. Your friend’s punch was weak!” Jyu said arrogantly.

  “Oh, really? But earlier, blood was already coming out of your mouth.”

  At the DV Army academy now, only ten people remained. The other five, including Lucas, had graduated and left the DV Army headquarters. They were immediately deployed and assigned the task of controlling the popution of mystical creatures in the real world.

  That meant the ten remaining students possessed equal strength—at least, that was Jyu’s assumption for now. With his logic, he was confident he could defeat the man behind him.

  “Do you want to feel your mouth bleeding too?” Jyu said softly yet firmly.

  But without further talk, Marco acted first. Quickly, he locked Jyu’s neck in a chokehold, making him instantly struggle to breathe.

  “So you’re challenging me, you scrawny brat?”

  “If you fight here, I won’t hesitate to beat both of you,” said the cafeteria guard, a middle-aged man who looked friendly yet had a terrifying aura.

  Marco immediately released Jyu’s neck. At once, Jyu coughed, clutching his throat in pain. Of course, he couldn’t retaliate because the guard had intervened. Jyu chose to take his food and look for an empty table.

  Right now, Jyu had no friends. Unfortunately, almost all the students in the DV Army had become his enemies. They seemed to form a clique with Marco. But there was one more student who shared Jyu's fate—a young woman sitting in the corner of the room.

  Jyu gnced at her briefly, yet he was reluctant to approach. He preferred to sit at a table about two meters away from the jet-bck-haired woman.

  Jyu enjoyed his meal carefully because his throat still hurt.

  “Just wait for my revenge!”

  Now Jyu was waiting at the training ground. He sat on a chair in front of the small room belonging to the trainers. Unexpectedly, a young woman approached him—it was the jet-bck-haired girl who had been alone in the cafeteria earlier.

  She came closer to Jyu. The beautiful girl, walking so gracefully, was named Sizhi. She finally sat not far from Jyu, her head constantly lowered.

  “Let me introduce myself, I’m Jyu. What’s your name?” Jyu asked, trying to be friendly.

  The girl gnced briefly at Jyu. “My name is Sizhi. Nice to meet you!”

  “Are you also waiting for Master Jenna?”

  “Yes,” Sizhi said softly.

  Not long after, Master Jenna appeared from behind the elevator door. She walked quickly toward Jyu and Sizhi.

  “Sorry, I’m a little te, fufufufu,” she said with a sinister smile.

  “My task here is to record your demons, including their powers, and give you training recommendations that suit you.”

  Jyu was quite confused since only he and Sizhi were there. “Excuse me, Master, why are only the two of us here?”

  “Fufufufu! Because you are new students and I haven’t recorded you yet. In the past month, only two Surcy have successfully returned to life—you two.”

  “Now release your demons!” Master Jenna ordered.

  Jyu and Sizhi exchanged gnces, but both immediately obeyed their teacher’s command. In an instant, Kuma appeared before Jyu. The same happened to Sizhi. Now right in front of her stood a terrifying demon—a woman with a bck body, four arms, and three fingers like dragon cws.

  “She looks shy, but her demon is truly terrifying,” Jyu muttered in his heart.

  “Fufufufu! Your powers are very interesting. Now show me your demons’ abilities,” said Master Jenna.

  Jyu took the initiative first. He admitted he didn’t yet know how to use Kuma’s power. But firmly, he revealed that Kuma’s abilities were punches and illusions.

  “Fufufufu! Your demon is quite amusing, but I think he’s indeed strong.”

  “Grrr.” Kuma made a sound, as if greeting Master Jenna.

  Instantly, Master Jenna was captivated. At once, she hugged Kuma’s doll body tightly. “You’re so very adorable!”

  Apparently, what Master Jenna felt was also felt by Sizhi. However, she was reluctant to hug Kuma, as if she were too shy.

  “How about you become my toy?” Master Jenna said, still not releasing her embrace from Kuma.

  Kuma struggled. “Grrr.”

  “Alright, I’ll let you go! Now it’s your turn,” Master Jenna said while pointing at Sizhi.

  In an instant, Sizhi’s demon flew high into the air, hovering like a bird. Not only that, the demon released threads from its mouth, like a spider weaving a trap.

  “My demon has spider powers,” Sizhi said softly.

  “Your power is unique as well. Alright, I will train you now,” said Master Jenna.

  Master Jenna patiently trained the two beginners. She expined various basic knowledge about core soul power and demon power.

  “In truth, everyone can awaken core soul power. But for DV Army soldiers, awakening core soul power and harmonising it with demon power is an obligation. This way, power can evolve, and it’s even possible to create a new, stronger ability.”

  “I will show it to you.”

  Suddenly, Master Jenna’s expression turned serious. In an instant, a mysterious aura burst out from her entire body. The aura was so terrifying that in this state, it already made Jyu and Sizhi afraid.

  In a fsh, Master Jenna leapt onto a rock not far from her position. With only her index finger, the rge rock shattered into pieces.

  “Amazing!” Jyu said in admiration.

  Master Jenna returned to stand near Jyu and Sizhi. “Fufufufu! Now I have a special training for you.”

  “But don’t be afraid of dying!” she said with a sinister smile toward Jyu and Sizhi.
