  Day: 12

  I woke up today and looked around, Relog wasn't here.

  Standing up was hard, the fight yesterday took a toll at my body. Yet, I feel stronger. This level up thing is strange... well, I won't look at it untill I evolve again! I made up my mind! Theese status thing make numbers to represent your power, I don't believe in it.

  It doesn't matter how high this or that are if you don't know what to do in an actual fight.

  Going outside of the cave I saw Relog. He was standing beside a dear, or better saying, the body of one, it was already dead.

  I wonder why he didn't eat it. And also, if he was the leader of this territory, where were his subordinates yesterday?

  -Master! I brough food!(Relog)

  -Thank you, Relog.(Iki)

  Well, at least he abide by his word, It is a 180 degrees change from his atitude yesterday.

  -Relog, let me ask you a few questions.(Iki)

  -What is it master?(Relog)

  -If this territory was yours, where are your subordinates?(Iki)

  -I won't admit anyone who is weak at my side!(Relog said with a proud voice)

  While it did make sense, it didn't seem like a intteligent answer. If he had subordinates, with his strenght and with a good number or minions,he could have easily defeated those humans.

  -Okay... And where did those humans come from? Why they were attacking you yesterday?(Iki)

  -Humans? What are human? You mean the two legged that look like you?(Relog with a dumb look in his face)

  -Yeah, the two legged are called humans, why did they attack you?(Iki)

  Relog is a strong guy, but he seems to have muscle for brains. At least he knows how thing work in here.

  -I don't know. They come in the forest sometimes. Never alone. They are destroing it, cutting the trees and killing the prey, it's the first time they came so deep in it.(Relog)

  I see, so it's the classical way humans try to get resources. At least they seem to be primitive. If they had the same technology I had in my world this forest would have been turned to ashes. Just so that they could plant and get fatter in their cosy homes, not caring about anithing that happens to others, only to their own noses.

  Wait... It gave me one idea! Why didn't I think of that before!? A way to unite everyone under me, with a excuse to fight a strong enemy! I will convince the creatures here that humans are the villains! It's genial!

  -Relog, we are going out, today. We are going to find new subordinates to me. Is there anyone who can speak in this area beside us?(Iki)

  -Yes! There is one that I know! It's the old owl!(Relog)

  -Okay, take me there after we eat.(Iki)

  -Yes master!(Relog)

  He looked overly happy, even though he lost a fight and his territory yesterday. I wonder why. It isn't negative to me, but there must be something more to it than what I know. For now, let it be.

  I ate, and gained only one skill, herbivororous language. I drew the human corpses near each other and used water magic to freeze them. No one will try to break it, I think.

  Relog took me to see the owl. The forest was a calm place, it was refreshing. Every now and then I could feel the others forest creatures looking at us, but soon hiding as fast as possible, it seems they don't like Relog. But still, they observed us, maybe curious about me, a two legged walking beside the boss around here.

  -We are here. Old owl! It's me, Relog! Master want to see you!(Relog)

  After a while we stopped in front of a huge tree, the ones in the forest were big, but this one overshadow them. As Relog called, a huge white owl flew to a branch in the lower part of the tree. It was two meters high. With it's big yellow eyes, it looked like it could see even deep inside your soul.

  -How many times did I say to don't call me old owl? I'm only 10 winters old!I have a name too, you know?! It's Limma! And is that the one you called master? So you finnaly found someone stronger than you, huh? You, the demi-human, what is your name?(Limma)

  Strange, the owl is speaking in canine language, and what about Relog finding someone stronger than him to be his master? Well, it would make sense if you think about how he acted before.

  -My name is Iki, miss Limma, let me ask you a question, why only a few animals are able to speak?(Iki)

  -Ooh, a polite one huh? I expected some airhead with a tick skull to win agaist Relog you know? It's not that only a few animals can speak, it's just that only the ones that have intelligence above 50 are able to speak, and that guy over there isn't that sociable, usually he just fight and eat, he only know me because I saved his life once.(Limma)

  -It makes sense, I guess. Let me tell you something, I'm not a demi-human, I'm a lizard king. What do you think about the humans?(Iki)

  -Humans? They are a strange bunch, they are intteligent, but I don't like them, they kill us for sport and for those shiny coins, not for food, this tipe of thing isn't something acceptable! They also destroy our homes, to construct theirs! If at least we could fight them off...(Limma)

  -I wan't to propose you something, I will become the king of this forest, and even more in the future, to do that, I will need subordinates to follow me. I want you to become my subordinate Limma, and to spread the word that a new king of the forest is here, for all the ones who wan't to join us to come near Relog's cave in two days. Can you do that? Oh, also say that I won against Relog and he became my subordinate.(Iki)

  - Wh,Wha,What!? Become the king? you will have to unify the forest to do that you know?! And do you think that the humans are weak? if you did that you would have to attack them! And they would send more and more of them after us!

  -I know that, but I'm sure I can win agains the others in the forest, if Relog was one of the strongest in here, I'm sure that I can take on the Grey Wolf and the Black Boar if they don't submit. But I want to know, will you follow me?(Iki)

  After what seemed like 10 minutes of a starkng match,she spoke to me.

  -Yes. I will help you, but will only swear my loyalty after you conquer the forest!(Limma)

  -That is ok to me,for now, just do what I said, and don't forget of telling them to spread the word,I will be in lizard form tommorow.(Iki)

  -Yes, this one shall begin to do that now!

  As she said that she flew in the sky. I am anxious about tommorow.

  -Show me what is my new territory Relog(Iki)

  -Yes master!(Relog)

  After that we passed the rest of the day exploring, I didn't try to hunt as there could be one of my future subjects that would become my prey, and also, there was a plenty of human meat I had sttocked yesterday, at least nothing will try to eat it. I don't think they would try to break the gigantic block of ice full of fresh corpses.

  Soon we passed near a waterfall, I wanted to see my new face.

  I lied when I said I became the most handsome men in the world, actually, I didn't had the option to change my face.

  I looked like an jap, I wonder why my face still remained some similar features. I't had a triangular format, a medium size nose, and a wide mouth with white theet, a few of them looked like fangs though. I had also cherry lips, not a very masculine trait, but it didn't seem to be out of place. Only in my cheeks were scales, they looked like tatoos. For my surprise, only the tatoos and slit eyed puppils were different than my looks form my last life.

  I also took a bath in the water, it wasn't cold as it seemed, my new body is strange, it dosn't feel cold even when everithing around me is covered in snow, and I'm not using anithing beside pants!

  After that, I returned to the cave,heated 3 bodies for me and Relog, we ate them. I took my pants off and changed my form.

  I was curious about my skills, I already had opened a stats table, but why not a skills one? There could be usefull information in there!

  Wow! That's too much! I though that I had some, but I never stopped to count how many skills I had. And also, some of them are able to do things I never though they would be able to do! This King's Mark will be usefull tomorrow, with this I won't have to be carefull when hunting.

  For now let's sleep... Oh! Wait a minute! I will try to meditate! It said I can use it to replace sleep and get stronger at the same time!

  I went to the corner of the cave and tried to concentrate, I began to feel a energy passing through my body. It is strange, but it's a confortable feeling,I found something strange, as the energy circulated in my body like blood, there's a strange part in my head, it was as the biggest part of the energy acumulated there! That must be a mana pool, just like they say in games, animes and light novels! Strange, they always say it's in the chest, why mine is in my head? Well, for me it makes sense that it's located in the head, after all, the mana must be proportional to the intelligence, right?

  After a while I felt something strange tickling my scales, so I opened my eyes, I almost screamed when I oppened them, everywhere around me I could see a strange flow in the air, just like water currents! But they are strange, it dosn't feel like water, it feels like... mana. I see, it must be the mana flowing in the cave.

  They flow everywhere, so what if I try to bring it in my body? It's worth a try.

  I felt a strong pain in my body,it feels like it's on fire! But I still felt like I should continue doing it. I tried channeling it to my mana core, and for my surprise, it's sucessfull!

  After some time, I could feel my mana core expanding, even if it's 0,01% it's still a progress!

  Why not try to channel it to my mana core and to my muscles at the same time? Sure, they won't develop as fast as they could, but still, I don't want to know only magic or only know fighting. If I can, I will try to be somewhat balanced, it open the doors for more possibilities.

  So just like that I spent my 12th night in this world.
