Chapter 23

As he ignore Nexus formulating a strategy, Joshua put all his focus on the first plan.

"Bek Su," he called out to his friend, his eyes burning with a newfound determination.

"We need to gather intel on the Li clan, the emissary, and the prince's army."

Bek Su nodded as he called two men.

"These two aren't known in the city as they haven't gone to the city so they can safely gather information on them." Bek Su said.

The two men he called stepped forward, looking at Joshua with a mix of fear and respect.

"Your task is crucial," he said to them.

"Find out their numbers, their movements, and any weaknesses."

The two men nodded solemnly after packing and leaving the cave.

Joshua's gaze followed them until they disappeared. He turned back to Bek Su and the villagers.

"I had already formulated a plan for the village and I would deliver books with set of instructions after I return. Follow them when I am not around as I am going to bring destruction to our enemies" he said, his voice carrying a steely resolve.

With that he went part of the cave and ask others to let no one enter. Seeing that nobody else is around, he teleported back to Terra, where he was greeted by the marbled floors of the mansion.

The spirit weapon had already begun the tasks, its tentacles reaching out into the vast web of information that made up the fabric of the digital world.

The first step of the plan was to acquire military-grade weaponry. In the modern world, it was not something one could simply purchase online and have delivered to their doorstep.

Joshua knew he would have to get his hands dirty.

After Nexus hack to the government and gather info on military supplies stored in military camps, he immediately went to action.

Casting [Hidden] all his presence and figure disappeared, after reaching the Foundation Realm the skill [Hidden] also improve its effects.

He arrived in a outside of the military camp on his car, while hiding himself from cameras as they would spot his car.

Joshua took a deep breath and surveyed the perimeter, his mind racing through the layout of the camp. The gates were heavily guarded, but he knew there had to be a way in.

As the night grew darker, he approached the camp's outer fence, his [Hidden] skill allowing him to move unseen by the sentries patrolling the grounds. He focused his senses, listening for any signs of the guards' movements, the crunch of their boots on the gravel beneath them, the rustle of their uniforms as they walked.

Once he'd identified a pattern, he waited patiently for the opportune moment.

The high-ranking officer that Nexus had pinpointed for him was a Colonel with a penchant for punctuality. Every night, he followed the same routine: a patrol of the perimeter, a quick check-in at the armory, and then a stop at the control room for a status update before retiring to his quarters.

Joshua waited for the Colonel's patrol to pass by, his heart racing. He knew that if he missed this chance, it could mean failure for the entire mission.

As the Colonel approached the armory, Joshua sprang into action. His form a silent shadow in the night, he swiftly knocked the two guards with a swift strike of his fist, their cries of surprise cut short by his firm grip.

Joshua cast [Hypnosis] on the colonel and led him away from the armory. The colonel walked with him, his eyes glazed over and his steps mechanical, following the commands of the young man's mind.

The Colonel led Joshua to the armory, he unlock the door securing the military supplies.

As they stepped inside, the room was lit only by the soft glow of emergency lights, casting eerie shadows on the rows of weapons and ammunition.

"Send the soldiers back to their posts and forget everything that happened tonight," Joshua ordered the Colonel, his voice low and commanding.

The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

The Colonel nodded, his eyes still glazed over by the hypnosis. He walked back to the unconscious guards, gently picking them up and placing them back to the sleeping quarters in a position that would appear as if they were simply resting.

Once he was alone, Joshua's eyes scanned the armory, taking in the array of weaponry that lay before him. His gaze lingered on the crates of grenades and the racks of weapons. These were the tools of destruction he needed to bring the fight to the second prince people and Li clan.

He began to take everything that could serve his purpose: grenades, assault rifles, ammo, RPG, and even a few high-tech gadgets that could be of use in the upcoming battle. His hands moved swiftly and surely, each item chosen with a purpose.

While he was busy looting, Nexus was researching the martial arts of Di and Terra and improving them.

In the corner of his mind, he felt Nexus's digital presence, working tirelessly as it dissected ancient texts and modern military strategy. The spirit weapon was a whirlwind of information, adapting and improving upon the martial arts techniques of Di and Terra. It was a fusion of the old and new, a deadly combination that could change the tide of their war.

The knowledge poured into his consciousness, and with each new piece of information, Joshua felt his own power growing. It was as if the very essence of the martial arts was being rewritten, tailored to his own capabilities and the needs of his people.

He took a deep breath and focused on the task at hand.

"Nexus," he whispered, "create a book for me, a manual for leading these villagers to victory. It must be in the language of Di, easy for them to understand and follow."

The spirit weapon's tentacles flickered and a blue light enveloped him.

Nexus connected to the printer at home and started to print one by one on the martial arts to train the villagers, the ways to fortify their new mountain haven, turning the cave into an unassailable fortress. Teaching them how to establish a network of spies and scouts, ensuring they had eyes and ears across the lands to anticipate any threats.

As Joshua finish looting the armory, he slipped into the shadows once more, leaving no trace of his presence.

The colonel remained in his hypnotic state, standing guard outside the armory door as if nothing had happened.

After taking his car back to the house gathered the papers that Nexus printed and turn them into simple books, he immediately went to back to the world of Di. The smell of ink was still fresh on the pages as he flipped through the manuals, each one detailing various tactics and techniques that could mean the difference between victory and defeat for the people of Quinse.

Joshua teleported back to the mountain waterfall cave, where Bek Su and the villagers awaited his return. The sight of their tired and hopeful faces made him realize that the weight of their fate rested heavily on his shoulders. He couldn't fail them.

The books he brought with him contained knowledge that could empower the villagers, turning them from a band of refugees into a formidable fighting force. He called for the able body and most capable individuals to come forward, those who had the will and the stamina to learn.

The teens, men, and women of Quinse gathered around him, their expressions a mix of curiosity and hope. They had seen the destruction wrought by the second prince's army, and they knew that their survival depended on their ability to fight back.

Joshua began to distribute the manuals, explaining each section in a clear and concise manner. The villagers studied the pages intently, their eyes widening as they realized the depth of knowledge contained within. The children looked up at him with admiration, and the adults nodded solemnly, understanding the gravity of the task ahead.

Turning to Bek Su, he spoke in a low voice, "My friend, I need to leave and meet up with the two who had gathered information. Can you think of someone in the village who can take charge in my absence?"

Bek Su's gaze drifted over the gathering of villagers, his thoughts racing. He knew that the task of leading such a group was no small one, especially in these dire times. His eyes fell upon a young woman with a fierce expression, her arms cradling a baby close to her chest.

"Joshua," he said, his voice strong despite his sadness.

"Look to Lan Chi's wife, Mei. She is educated and has seen her husband lead our village. With your guidance, she could be the one to help keep our people safe and united in your absence."

Joshua regarded Mei, who despite her grief, held a stoic presence amidst the chaos. Her eyes met his, filled with anger and sadness.

Joshua knew it was his fault that killed her husband, but Mei said that she should be blaming him but she knew she don't have the time as she is busy taking her baby to survive.

He approached Mei, the weight of his words pressing down upon him like a heavy burden.

"Miss Mei," he began, his voice low and earnest.

"I am sorry for your loss. Your husband was a great man, and he did not deserve the fate that was dealt to him."

Mei looked up at him, her eyes glistening with unshed tears.

"Joshua," she said, her voice firm despite the tremor in her voice.

"I know you did not intend for this to happen. But now we are here, and we must do what we can to survive."

With those words, Mei took the book from Joshua's outstretched hand. Her grip was firm, and in her eyes, he saw a spark of determination that mirrored his own.

"I will do everything in my power to ensure their safety," she said.

Joshua nodded, feeling a flicker of hope amidst the despair. He handed Mei the book that contained the most vital information: the tactics and strategies for leading and defending the village.

"I will leave you in charge while I am gone," he said.

Mei nodded solemnly, her grip tightening on the book.

"I understand," she said, her voice firm despite the sadness that hung in the air like a mournful shroud.

Joshua took a deep breath, knowing that the next phase of his plan was about to begin.

The two villagers he had sent out, one named Zhi and the other Xia, had been gone for several hours. They had been chosen for their unrecognizable appearance, traits that would serve them well in their mission. He hoped that they had returned with valuable intel that would help him to understand the enemy's movements and intentions.
