Chapter 32

In the cold tundra, two groups fought with ferocity, trying to outmatch each other.

The bandit leader, now facing a solitary 'Noble Knight', felt a flicker of hope.

He took a deep breath, channeling his Qi, and lunged forward with a battle cry that echoed through the land.

The 'Noble Knight' remained unfazed, its movements mechanical yet precise.

The clang of steel on steel rang out as the bandit's blade met the Knight's sword.

The knight's armor was a stark contrast to the bandit's leather and fur, gleaming like a star in the night sky.

Each clash sent sparks flying, illuminating the grim determination on the bandit's face.

But the 'Noble Knight' was unrelenting.

With each strike, its movements grew more precise, its intent to protect its charge unwavering.

The bandit, though skilled, was no match for the Knight's unyielding might.

The second bandit suddenly found that he was facing four 'Noble Knights'. His heart sank, and he knew he was in deep trouble.

He tried to retreat, but the clones anticipated his move and swiftly blocked his escape route.

Desperation painted his features as he was pushed into a corner, his thoughts racing for a way out of this dire predicament.

The second bandit leader, now surrounded by four 'Noble Knights', knew his fate was sealed.

His eyes searched for his partner, hoping for a miracle, but found him locked in a fierce duel with the fifth Knight.

He opened his mouth to call for help, but no sound came out, his voice lost in the chaos of clanging steel and the roars of the 'Blood Wolf Knights'.

In desperation, the trapped bandit lunged at the 'Noble Knight', his blade slicing through the cold air. His strike was swift, aimed for the Knight's neck, but the clone anticipated the move, parrying the blow with ease.

The Knight's single-armed response was lightning fast, its blade flashing through the air and catching the bandit's forearm, sending a spray of crimson across the battlefield.

The bandit howled in pain, dropping his weapon and clutching at the stump. He looked into the Knight's gold eyes and saw not malice, but a cold, unfeeling resolve.

The 'Blood Wolf Knights' had finished with the barbarians and now turned their gazes upon the remaining bandits.

The leader, noticing his comrades' plight, roared with fury and made a break for it.

Using half of his qi, he unleashed a powerful slash towards the 'Noble Knight' who had been fighting him so as to block him from helping his partner.

With a slash, the blade of his sword cut through the air like a whip, aiming for the knight's chest.

The Knight, however, had anticipated the move. He brought up his sword, the blade sparking with the energy of his own qi, and met the bandit's attack with a resounding clang.

The force of the blow sent the knight pushing back a few meters away from his target. The bandit leader's eyes glowed as he saw his opportunity.

Using the other half of his Qi on his legs, the bandit leader bolted away from the 'Noble Knight', his body moving like lightning as he desperately sought escape.

The second bandit, seeing his partner escape, yelled out curses at him.

"You $#!+ $@£#€! Do you think you will keep your life when you return? I..." as he shouted, trying to say more but was interrupted by the 4 'Noble Knights'.

With a coordinated move that seemed almost inhuman, the four 'Noble Knights' closed in on the trapped bandit leader. His eyes grew wide with terror as he realized the futility of his struggle.

In a swift motion that was over almost before it had begun, the knights decapitated the man, their movements so precise that his head arced through the air like a macabre trophy before hitting the ground with a sickening thud.

The remaining bandits, already on the brink of despair, watched in horror as their Core level martial artist's lifeless body crumpled to the ground.

After decapitating the man, the four 'Noble Knights' use their large bodies to shield the sight from others who are paying attention.

The one who was previously fighting the bandit leader now stands inside the wall of his companions. He reached into the air as he opened a [PORTAL] and pulled out a sleek, black Qi sniper rifle.

The bandit leader, seeing his comrade's headless body, had turned tail and bolted into the mountains. His mind raced with the horror of what he had seen and the fear of what might come next.

He had to get back to camp and tell the others, but what could he say? That they had encountered something inhuman? That their own strength had been made to look like that of mere children playing at war? He knew his words would fall on deaf ears, that they would think him mad, or worse, a coward.

Not only that, I abandoned that person. He had made a mistake, a grave one. He should never have left that one noble behind, but the fear had overtaken him, the fear of being killed.

His thoughts were interrupted by a deafening boom.

The ground beneath him shook as he was thrown forward, the world around him spinning as he tried to regain his footing.

He had no time to even look back as his body was ripped apart by an invisible force, his thoughts scattering like leaves in a storm.

The explosion had come from nowhere, a sudden eruption of power that had obliterated the bandit leader before he could even comprehend what was happening.

The remaining bandits, those who hadn't been cut down by the 'Blood Wolf Knights', stared in stunned silence at the smoking crater where their leader had once stood.

"Now charge to kill the bandits! Don't let them escape!"

Wang Lichen commanded the 'Blood Wolf Knights' to surround the bandits.

"Zhang Jin and Peng Lihua squads block their retreat! Xie Jie squad come with me and charge together!"

The 'Blood Wolf Knights' took advantage of their enemies' distraction, moving with a predatory grace that belied their massive frames. Their cold eyes gleamed with the light of the setting sun as they closed in for the kill, each step calculated and precise.

The surviving bandits, stunned by the explosive demise of their leader, didn't stand a chance.

With a series of bone-crunching snaps and guttural roars, the 'Blood Wolf Knights' descended upon the remaining bandits, their dual hearts pumping into their veins, giving them more endurance. Each strike was a symphony of power and speed, a dance of destruction that left no room for error or mercy.

The 'Blood Knights' had been created for one purpose: to fight, in the throes of battle. They were living up to their name.

The bandits, already broken by fear and the loss of their leaders, had no answer to the unrelenting onslaught.

They had faced many battles and survived, but this was different. This was not a fight against mere men; it was a fight against monsters that bore the face of their own kind.

"Ahh DIE! I am a warrior! My soul shall go to heaven after I die in battle."

A barbarian engaged Wang Lichen, thinking of dying with him.

Wang Lichen slashed and bisected the barbarian in two. As the last consciousness of the barbarian faded, he heard Wang Lichen talk.

"Heaven? Warrior? You are just a lowly bandit, you should expect to go to hell."

Wang Lichen coldly uttered to the barbarian as he looked at other bandits who had watched the fight.

They threw down their weapons and begged for mercy, but the 'Blood Wolf Knights' had been made for war and knew none.

Especially those 'Blood Wolf Knights' who were once villagers who got attacked for no reason. Even though they had forgiven the soldiers that had joined them, they still remember the helpless sight as they could only run back then.

The Wu clan members had witnessed everything and some of the clan's warriors even joined the fight, even if they only dealt with one or two desperate bandits.

The sight of the 'Blood Wolf Knights' in battle was something none of them had ever seen before. It was as if it came out of stories to reenact legendary feats to reality.

The clan members watched in a mix of horror and awe as the monstrous figures tore through the bandit ranks like a tornado through a wheat field.

The bandits, though once feared in their own right, were no match for these Knights.

The clan elders had spun tales of great battles of yore, but none had ever seen or imagined warriors like these.

The clanging of swords and the roars of the 'Blood Wolf Knights' echoed throughout the day, a symphony of power and brutality that seemed to shake the very ground beneath their feet.

Then the 5 'Noble Knights' brought back two heads. It was the head of the bandit leader, after searching for where his head had blown off and the head of the other Core level martial artist. The scene was grim, yet the clan members couldn't help but feel a mix of admiration and terror.

The heads were a gruesome testament to the 'Blood Wolf Knights' power and determination. The bandit leader's head was a mess of blood and bone, his eyes wide open in a silent scream of surprise and fear. The Core level martial artist's head was more intact, his eyes closed as if in peaceful slumber, a stark contrast to the chaos of his end.

The 'Noble Knights' looked to the elderly of the Wu clan, their expressions stoic and unreadable. They asked if there were any bounties on the heads they had brought, unsure of the implications of their actions.

The elder's eyes narrowed as he examined the second head, his expression darkening as he recognized the insignia etched into the man's cheek.

"This... this is one of Dottir's Warriors," he murmured, his voice shaking with a mix of fear and anger. The Dottir clan were infamous for their ruthlessness and their penchant for vengeance. To have killed one of their own, even in self-defense, was to invite a storm of retribution.

The 'Noble Knights', their eyes cold and unreadable. They had no concept of fear, but the gravity of the situation was not lost on them. They had been engineered for war, not diplomacy. They waited for the elder's response, their grip on the severed heads tightening slightly.

"You must bury these heads deep, and burn all traces of your battle," the elder said, his voice low and urgent.

"The Dottir Clan are notorious for their pettiness and their thirst for vengeance. They will not rest until they know who dared to lay a hand on their kin."

Joshua nodded gravely, understanding the gravity of the situation. He had created the 'Blood Wolf Knights' to be instruments of power, but he had not anticipated the complex web of alliances and enemies they would encounter in the outside world.

"How strong is the Dottir Clan?" he asked through the 'Noble Knights', his voice a cold echo in their minds.

The elder's expression grew grimmer as he recounted the might of the Dottir Clan.

"They boast a Grandmaster, five Core levels, and the rest are at least 500 Refined or Innate Qi level martial artists. Their numbers are vast, easily three times that of our own clan. They are feared for a reason."

Joshua's mind raced with the new information. A Grandmaster was a formidable force. He didn't know how strong one was, but seeing the strength of the Core level, he could multiply it a few times. Five Core level warriors were not to be underestimated either, their power akin to that of the 'Noble Knights' themselves. Yet, the sheer quantity of Refined and Innate warriors was what truly struck fear into the elder's heart.

He knew that his 'Blood Wolf Knights' and 'Noble Knights' could handle themselves against most foes, but against such numbers, their superior strength and speed might not be enough.

Modern weapons would have evened the odds, but the stockpile of bombs was dwindling, a luxury they could not afford to waste.

"We will heed your warning," Joshua communicated to the elder, his voice a stern command.

"We will bury and burn all traces of our encounter with the Dottir Clan. Their wrath is not something we wish to invite so soon."

Joshua's decision was final. The 'Blood Wolf Knights' and 'Noble Knights' immediately set to work, erasing every sign of battle from the earth.

They had learned from the second prince's folly—human wave tactics could overwhelm even their superior power. Their true strength lay in strategy and the element of surprise.

Joshua gathered his 'Blood Wolf Knights' for a briefing. He spoke with a calm confidence that resonated throughout the room, "We will bide our time. We are not savages to be drawn into a hasty battle. We will grow our numbers, train our forces, and prepare ourselves for the day when we march on the Dottir Clan. Only when we are ready, when we have the power to crush them utterly, will we reveal ourselves."

Joshua preferred a methodical approach to fighting. He knew the potential wrath of the Dottir Clan was not to be underestimated. He had seen the power of Core level and understood that a swift and decisive victory would be the only way to secure their victory with just this group alone.

But he decided to hide and grow stronger.

And when the time was ready, he would send an army of super soldiers into their clan and conquer their territory on their own.
