We woke up only to see the demon-fighting more monsters while we bcked out. Just how many monsters are here?
Many, too many of them, I can’t count them all. When I bcked out, I thought I had entered evolutionary sleep, but we need to grind more exp points.
It had been three or more hours since we bcked out. I can’t gauge the time correctly, but I need to know how much more experience I need.
“Sia, how much exp do we need to evolve?”- I can hold onto the ground with my trembling hand; Hana has the same issues as me; I used up all of my magic power. I am still surprised that I can use skills
!Hold off for a little longer!- I can only fight with my shadow tendrils, but with monsters’ speed, hitting anything is almost impossible. It’s like everything is faster, and I am slower
The demon got between me and the monsters again and began to lower their health. He fought them relentlessly, exchanging blows left and right at a shocking speed; it seemed like he had no problem dealing with them; he had been fighting for more hours than all of us combined by now, and he had a lot of battle experience, visible in his movements. How he dodges the blows that the monsters throw at him and simultaneously keeps his movements graceful, a product of his battle skills being refined more than ours.
“Thank you,” I mutter while falling to the ground. I extended my shadow tendrils toward the monsters, and I managed to kill all of them; it was a st-stretch effort; I had the demon’s help since he was the one keeping them all in pce for me to do this; I didn’t know if it’s enough to evolve, but, I guess this is it for us.

Sometime ter, when we woke up from our evolutionary sleep:
We woke up in another section of the forest with that same demon. He seems to be preparing food. I don’t know which type of food he is preparing, but it smells good.
I didn’t think we would evolve now or this way, but the ordeal is finally over. We need to go through this thing a few more times.
I am still asking myself why I am going through all this trouble. I guess it’s not the time for that now.
“Well, it seems like the 2 of you finally woke up. Your evolution was a success. Congrats!”- He gave each of us a pte of food. It looked and tasted exquisite; I guess that is to be expected of a former Demon Lord servant.
“Thank you for taking care of us while we were asleep. Here.”- I opened my spatial storage and gave him some coffee and tea, something he didn’t originally order but now has a lot since we are at Fumiko’s mansion. He smiled and nodded in appreciation; we had already given him his rewards when we first met him. I didn’t think I made it obvious back then, but I did give him everything he had asked for
“You already gave me enough, but this is welcomed too. If I am not asking too much, can you give me a name? “- He kneeled in front of us with a smile.
“Well, Hana, want to give him a name? I can’t think of any.”- It’s better to leave Hana to do the naming. I know she got it.
“Well, why not. Your name will be Akira.”
“From now on I shall be known as Akira, the servant of the 2 future demon lords.”- Wait, does he know we have the sprouting?

“Please do,” – I said while gazing into his eyes.
“I was a server of the former demon lord of this world, Lady Gloxina. At first, she didn’t want me to give her name, because she was to busy with defending her main city and the surrounding area, but then I joined and I saw how powerful she was, her power isn’t the thing that marked me, it was her determination to save her people and make peace with humans. I wanted to test your strength since I felt the presence of the Demon Lord Sproutling in the 2 of you. I decided to test how strong you 2 are, from this moment forward I am going to serve you 2 and assist with whatever you want me to. That should remind you a bit, Hikaru.”- Akira smiled at us and then y on the ground.
“Yeah, I do remember now. Sorry”
“Well, welcome aboard Akira. We will get you to the mansion that we live in. You will have to assist us with some things there.”- Hana replied to Akira. We then started to eat slowly and then got up.
The road back wasn’t interesting, so that I won’t bore you with it, but I did a quick peek at our statues to see what has changed here.

Well, these stats look good now. We should have no problem beating other monsters now.
“Hikaru, please, allow me to tell you something,” Akira said ahead of us. We let him lead the way since he seems to know many things that we don’t
“What is it? Is something wrong?”- Did something happen?
“No, just a heads up for you, when you are killing a monster you need to keep in mind your posture and how you control your Shadow Tendrils, I can see from your posture that you weren’t controlling them optimally, but could be just the tiredness coming to you. In the first half, you were decent while fighting with them.”- He turned his head towards me and smiled.
“Interesting. Can you see shadow magic? Most people wouldn’t be able to see it.”
“Well, I noticed that. But I can see from your hand how you moved it. It’s ok, we can correct that once we are in an appropriate pce. If you can defeat me in a fight at least once then I won’t have to worry about anything.”- Akira continued to walk along the road with us.
We had made progress on our quest to become Demon Lords, and, as per King Wieka’s wish, we must not allow Ifrit to win. I didn’t even expect to make it out and be here, and we are 1 step closer.
We continued to the mansion; it took us a lot of time. We arrived in the morning, and I hadn’t noticed that it was night yet when we left.
